Hello folks. While we're *slowly* getting Fleet Street activities up and running, I though I should see what interest there is in DM102 activities starting up again. I have to admit that OldScratch had a lot more patience with running so many DM101 sessions than I ever did, so I'm very interested in looking at the idea of a self-taught DM101 module. I really do enjoy running DM102, and wouldn't mind trying to get that started again (although my schedule is pretty tight).

I would be very interested in a DM102. I know the DM Client well, and am somewhat familliar with the Wands, but many of the higher level functions (Voice, vairables, etc) I am totally clueless about. I'm not sure what all would be included with DM102, but I would take the class to find out. Thanks, DB.

I'd be interested in it as well. As I recall, the DM102 session was more about how FS runs their style of game rather than a "How the DM client works", correct? I only had a chance to get into one game of the FS sort, and that was Garnak's Tales of the Wine Dark Sea mini-game during NWCon 2. The style of it was different than what I've run, and what I've been run in, so I'd love to get more in depth with that.

Count me in! I've always wanted to DM something on here, but I haven't been sure if I could run things smoothly through the client. I've gone through the DM101 Module, but i would really like to learn some style point as well. Plus, interacting with real people may be just the boost I need to get me over the wall. Can't wait! When I took DM 102, it was a terrific introduction to how Fleet Street runs their games and a good opportunity to learn from experienced DMs about creating story telling magic. I'd highly recommend the course to anyone who has already mastered the DM Client, played with the DMFI wands, and who has already DMed a game. DM 102 moved beyond mechanics to share FS' experiences of running games. Sweeney Todd and Old Scratch covered how to make the most of the NWN medium during an on the fly game session in which DMs control the pace and flow of the story. As a DM/builder, I found DM 102 exceptionally useful in helping me start to understand the more subtle aspects of NWN game design. Off topic: By the way, if you are interested in learning the DMFI Voice, the DMFI voice instructions included with the wands and widgets pack has enough to get you started. Once you practice, it's not too difficult. Arawen

The DMFI put out DMFI 101 http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/data/1103500450000.shtml largely because of the DM 101 hiatus. We received a lot of positive feedback, among which was asking about a 102 course to take things further. So, there is definitely a market out there for more DM training.

| You speak the truth, wise one! DMing is still something I have never done with NWN aside from your wonderfully helpful module. I have since recieved a most generous offer to assist as a supplemental DM, which I think would be some of the finest training one could get... Thanks to this NWC, I feel as if I have found a whole new game within NWN and hope to see this flourish.

I went through Carlos' DM101 module and I will say to those who haven't looked at it and need to learn the basic functions that it is well worth the time to look at. I now have a fairly decent grasp on the functions and just need to get the practice of DM'ing a real game to get really good at it.

| Your guess is as good as anyone else's. I have been waiting for nearly 8 months for my badge, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. While it would be nice to get the recognition that we were promised, the best course of action is to just DM games and have a good time. Good luck. DB.

| Hey, it's been 25 months, and still no badge here, either. At any rate, my schedule can't really permit dedication to classes, per se, but if anything comes up that can be done on a flexible basis (an everning here, a morning there), just let me know, and I'll help out.

I would be interested in a DM 102. I've gone through Carlo One's great 'help-yourself' DM 101 course, and it really got me interested into DMing NWN.
