When is the next DM 101 session, and how do i sign up. I am planning to start a campaign soon, but i think i probably need a little bit of teaching first. if anyone could give me a heads up, i would be grateful
If I remember correctly, the DM 101 sessions were put on hiatus due to real life intruding on the hosts' ability to host them. I can't seem to find the thread that mentioned that, though...
A pseudo-alternative to the DM101 classes, called DMFI 101, was created by Carlo One. It pretty much covers the things you need to know in order to DM a NWN game. I say "pseudo" simply because that doesn't come with any kind of formal accreditation like the NWU DM101 classes used to, you just download it from the vault (the link is in one of the threads in either this or the DM forum, can't remember which and am too lazy to go check for you ... or you could just search for it on the vault...) then go through the module solo and learn and enjoy.
Additionally you might want to keep an eye out for DMs that will take on a trainee to give you some in-game experience of DMing for a session or two so you get a feel for how it's done live. EDIT: *spots post in other forum* Doh, OK so you beat me to that one.
