Pic uploads are still busted. Still wondering if that will be fixed before the new site premieres. If so, then its not much of a problem. But if not...

I'm not sure if this counts as a bug...its more the way that the system is set up, and it may have occured on the old site and I didn't notice. However, when doing my reviews for a game whether I've given my BiG or not is specific to the computer I use, rather than my account, so if I split my reviews across multiple computers I could in theory give more than one BiG...... I'm sure theres a technical reason for this, but surely it makes more sense to be account specific, since a lot of people have access to more than one computer (for work etc).

I'm not sure if this is intentional. All my html coding vanishes from the Game Description window in my game templates. Yet it remains in the Special Rules section.

| BiG awards are probably set in a cookie that's saved on your computer, so if you switch computers, the server doesn't see that you've already gave out a BiG award because the cookie value is different. That or it's tied to your ip address, which can change depending on what computer you're on when you acess the sight.

It seems that the portrait issue is still there. Will this be fixed or should we wait for the beta site to be finished and bug free?

AFAIK, they are not going to fix any bugs on the current site. All work is directed at getting the new site bug free. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nope, all the resources are dedicated to the new site now. So much of the infrastructure has changed that it seemed to make little sense to patch the existing site. The new site is a complete rewrite. It's not built on top of the existing site code. That means most of the reported bugs will be killed by default. Of course we will have to deal with new bugs then, but the new infrastructure is supposed to make it much easier to deal with them. Gilaun

I can't remember if this came up before, but are all the existing forum posts going to be lost in the transition? If so, please give us a few days' notice so I can archive my forum here.

@Gilaun: August 27, 10:15 AM CDT The server was w-a-y slow. I don't know how long it had been like that, but I spent the next fifteen minutes to get to two threads. No errors or timeouts. It may be a process that is occupying a large nunmber of resources?

| August 27, 7:00 PM CDT - It's still pretty pokey. There are brief "flashes" of improvement and then it slows down again.

Tried to sign on to the new site, but no luck. Doesn't recognize my current user name / pw and when I tried to register it ended with some kind of error page after I typed in the new user name and password. Karvon

Okay... I know that this isn't a huge priority right now... but avatars are all wonky again. I tried to change my profile avatar yesterday, and when I click to save, the page refreshes just like it should (no error message) but the avatar doesn't change. Then... a bit later when I had checked the site after work, I noted that it had changed (like 4 hours later)... now this morning, it's back to what it was previously. Strange...
