I believe Excimer from CEP has posted that they will be trying to make CEP v2.0 fully compatible with NWN v1.68 patch and DLA's Wyvern Crown mod material. Since Wyvern Crown was to be a premium mod and from there the content was to be released as an official patch with seperate downloadable haks in a similar fashion to that of v1.67 patch and the PoTSC haks, it is supposedly using Bioware reserved numbers which CEP does not use. Fingers crossed it will all play nicely together.
We were lucky to have the support/patches that we did have (and the premium mods must not have paid off- otherwise they wouldn't have cut them). I can think of a few games that were only allowed two patches by the publisher. Still got major bugs? Too bad!

I don't believe it was Bioware's decision to cut the premium modules, and certainly not whilst a number of them were still in production or were near to release. I suppose one day the whole truth will come out as to who made what decision and why. That whole situation has been the cause of enough discontent in the community and as such, it is probably better not to speculate or comment further. Certainly, the premium mods paid for support from the Live Team and the last few patches for the game as well as the accompanying custom content. As such, they could hardly be seen as a failure for Bioware or the community. I am hopeful that the custom content from the cancelled premium mods will be released and will provide a shot in the arm to NWN, NWC and the community in general.
