The next generation of DMFI Tools are up. I'll preface this by saying there are a handful of known issues that I will be working on during the beta test but it is time to get the code out on a broader basis.
The code is up in the form of a module. I can't patch to 1.0+ so I do NOT have a DM client. You can log in using the player client and "play" DM and I have set it up for the DM client but I can't test that.
So load it up and play along with the tutorial and then head over to the DMFI Forum and give feedback so we can clean this up and get it out the door.
I would encourage you to read the documentation, then head off to the module and then give feedback
Known issues (probably forgetting some):
1) No DM channel - OBSIDIAN
2) No MP testing - I NEED HELP HERE
3) Item variables NOT stored unless server vault character therefore loading happens each time rather than just once UNLESS you run a server vault character. - NOTE: This ends up affecting performance when you first load the module. If you load it onto a server and then log on with a server vault character you will notice very slight lag - if the DM character is a local character OR a new character, you will see significant lag.
4) Charater turns EAST on initiating the conversation despite scripting attempts to fix. - OBSIDIAN
5) On some resolutions, the top “NPC” conversation text will overlap the graphical division between statement and replies. - OBSIDIAN
6) Colors are removed when you mouse over replies in conversation until the replies are updated in some fashion. - OBSIDIAN
7) Custom Text Macros are not supported in NWN2 right now so the ability to write great shortcut commands and lock them to one of the 120 quickslots is wasted. - OBSIDIAN
8 ) Many VFXs don’t actually have VFXs linked in the game data. - OBSIDIAN BUT I need a complete list of which ones work and which ones don't.
9) VFX Duration is omitted from the conversation - ME
10) Immobilize player doesn't seem to function - ME
NOTE: Comment out the dmfi_pcmodload script interger flag to test the player side of the tools.
