I Bought NWN at the local Wal-Mart when it was just NWN + SOU, on 3 Sep, 2003.
I found and joined NWC on the 9th of Sepetember, 2003.
In those days, I DM'ed a server known as Prydein, for an intriguing gent named Joe (who had a great sense of humor), solely based on my own experience as a 1st ed referee, and 27 years of DMing experience. I met some people there who are still email buddies.
October, 2003, I started building the Land of Etarnon [Roleplay] Server. It opened for playtesting in February, 2004. We added in HoTU (what a job, as we all recall, so many bugs in that puppy.)
We officially opened it September 17th, 2004. Most of the players who joined in those early days of LoE Campaign Session I, are now active DMs, and I am honored that they still choose to serve there.
But due to many reasons...mostly exhaustion...It's time for this old vet to move on. I'm tired, and as some of you know, my health has been failing for some years. My wife, also, who barely survived a tough surgery earlier this fall.
I have handed over my server to my DMs from the Land of Etarnon to run as they see fit, since they are paying for it now. They have made a lot of improvements over my old code, which I worked on, during (no lie) sometimes 16-20 hour days, for months.
I have spent a goodly amount of games with some of you old veteran players, both on my server, and on your own servers, in games other DMs have run, and as part of my own team of DMs on the Land of Etarnon.
I leave the NWC community, with fond wishes for a hopeful future for you all. Perhaps the amount of community content from the Vault will keep it strong. You are all the future game designers of what will become.

Rizzen - For this site, and for welcoming me, back when there still was a mentor / DM 101 program. I had never met an online game before. The setup here made it do-able.
Lazybones - For listening, during tough times, when I felt alone in my struggles.
LatinLefty - For friendship, and running the best time-travelling gnome I've met.
LIONofHUME - Impartiality, when I was under fire.
Wasek - Running the Light Reborn. That game Smoked.
Danebo - Allowing me to help him to run
NWCON Ravenloft, The Original PnP Module
during the Oct 04 NWCon. Greatest module I've played/DMed.
japh - A most excellent character arc, on LoE.
tinbender - My Favorite bard of all time (even though I loathed them before we met. He turned around my perceptions.

Forrestwolf - Making NWN Traveller /T20 a reality.

Purple Puppy - Doggedness as a learning DM.

Well James, it saddens me to see that you are really leaving us. You have been a great friend and mentor. You opened my eyes to a level of gameplay that I would have never found without your guidance.
You were, and still are a master of the game. I will miss you and all the long hours of enjoyment you provided to the Etarnon community. The Soris Saga was one heck of a ride, and I thank you for that.
I wish you well, and hope you find success in your future passions. Take care ole' friend, and come back and visit us from time to time.

It was a pleasure to have you, and you are right it is one of the greatest and most fun to play modules.
Perhaps when I have updated it to the new EXPIDITION TO RAVENLOFT You will come on board to co dm it with me
