Sorry, didn't want this one to fall through the cracks. Rizzen hasn't logged on in six weeks (12/27/06). He hasn't posted to his update / blog post since the end of September.

That it is still here and that it still does the job it is designed to do is nice, of course, and gives us no reason to complain, but more functionality and evolution in the site would be good too. The fact that we hear nothing at all is the most bothersome. I don't care how busy you are, it doesn't take that long to log in, post that nothing is being done, and log out. If nothing other then... "sorry, we just don't have the time or interest, but we will keep the current site up", then at least we would know what is going on.

Sorry to be calling you out like this... but I really don't think an update from time to time is too much to ask.

I'm just thankful that Rizzen continues to host it. Dependability is the rarest of traits in online communities. Rizzen has been like a foundation stone all these years. Site still works great.

First, this is not an update. I don't have any new information, and I can not speak for Rizzen.

I only post to let you know that I intend to keep NWC running for a good long time. At least as long as there is still strong interest from the community.

I foot the monthly bills. The servers are hosted at my facility, and I do the maintenance on them. Even though I have not posted in a good long while, I still watch the server side of things pretty closely.

I don't post this to toot my own horn, just to provide an authoritative statement of stability.

*me wonders* Did that make any sense?
