Smoking hot linux system running mine is doing a great job and they have a fellow there who really knows his stuff. Be nice and ask for BLAKE to setup your system for Neverwinter Nights.

My system is run at 66.232.100.90 just FYI, have him set one up like that system and you'll never regret it!

I have heard evil things about dungeonserver.

And of course, I probably don't even need to say it, but...

If you want your PW to stay online, you want it on a Linux server.

total agreement on the linux server

btw, it is what I recommend he get from hivelocity.com - I get great results with the one I'm running. A _much_ bigger module, much better served than I thought possible, in part thru the sheer robustness of the linux os (also in part due to my lean and clean building/coding style).

I'm using CENTOS for an OS, SCREEN installed, ready to run multiple modules since the machine still shows ample resources available with one huge module running (like 300+ areas).

Go linux, go!

I was a dungeonserver customer for over three years. I loved it, great service. I often ghave those "Satisfied customer referrals" to new customers, upon request from potential customers.

Land of Etarnon [roleplay] relied on it when I was running it, and our mod still runs there, since my retirement as a DM from the community.

Oh, well I used to play in a campaign that was hosted at dungeonserver, and I recall it was down on multiple occasions. The person who was running the game had had the problem frequently before I believe. I suppose some persons had better experiences there than others.

Never had any serious complaints about the service from Dungeonserver in the roughly year or so I used them to continue running Lands of Etarnon. The web interface for managing your campaign is fairly simple to use, so you can easily upload/download whatever haks, datebases, mods you need. I suppose if you have a lot of haks, a large player base and a big mod, you might run into problems with the 1 GB storage limit. I think most large PW tend to have their own private server(s) to get around such problems.

Recently we've moved to a private server, kindly provided by one of our players, otherwise we'd probably still be using Dungeonserver.
