Total War... damn fine war doctrine... count me in... and if you can figure out a way to include Oki, count her in too.

Torrin eyed the werecat calmly as Oki spoke to it, his hand sliding towards his hammer, should he need to draw it. He looked at the wandering panthers before turning back to the werecat. He wished he had read more about these strange creatures. Ah, well, no time for that now.

I think my connections were due to a port forwarding glitch. I refreshed my router and it works fine now.

Thanks for hanging in there. I should have everyone's e-mail so if you don't hear from me come game time in the future, be sure to check your in box.

Strange. Unless you're messing with port 80, it shouldn't affect loading the website. Then again, the site was going slow earlier, you might just have timed out.

I couldn't access a number of sites, actually; I tried the Onion, and MSN. Most sites came right up, though. Once I refreshed the router it all cleared up and I could access all sites again.

NWC is still slow but at least I can get on now.

Hmm. Probably a hardware hiccup with the router, then. Good thing you got it cleared up.

Torrin

Torrin stood in front of the chest, looking over the golden rod the party had found. Though never seeing its like before, he had a feeling that it could be used as a mace and was especially effective against demons and their kin (outsiders). By merely touching it, he could feel the rightness of it and he had a feeling he would soon be putting it to good use. He smiled ruefully and looked at his companions with a new found respect. He knew they were all capable warriors, but their knowledge of tatics and how they defeated the Orcs amazed and gladdened him. Though he could not bring himself to fully forgive the Duke for wrenching them here against their will, he came to understand the reasons behind the Duke's decision. Maybe these four men and woman would be the ones to help repel the Orcish invasion.

His thoughts driffted towards this "Dark God" mentioned on the scroll and the Orog skeleton he had just destroyed. Foul magic must have been at work here for it to resist his turn attempt. He thought back to a particular set of spells His Holiness had mentioned to him long ago. The Shinning Father frowned on their use, only allowing them in the direst of emergencies. Would this count, though? He would have to pray for advice, though he knew the Earth Mother's children did not seem to be up to the task.

and yes, I was invisible for the second reason of patching people up while remaining unscathed, instead of just stealthing to get my photography done I thought ahead.

Good, because Torrin is a war priest, not a walking medic lab. If I had gone with a follower of the Earth Mother, he'd be different.

Nice shot, though.

As awed as Phil was with the healing skills of Torrin, he was at least as much repulsed by the alter that stood at the top of the temple. Phil was too simple to understand why the foul place upset him so but it did. He found himself far from home in a place of wonder and now this. If it weren't for his fear of offending Oki and looking a fool in front of the others he would have retched right there.

He was very uncomfortable entering that damn temple. But he had, with his companions, and if not for Oki's bandages and the strange jars of liquids she had given him he was sure it would have been that last time he had served his country.

It was then that he knew his Pappy had been wrong, not ALL women were out to "take his life away!" Not Oki at least. He wondered if Oki would like living in a double wide. He shook with a somewhat silent chuckle at the silly thought. She spoke with too many big words to fit in back home. Besides, as soon as things came up missing everyone would know it was her and her singing.

Vulcanos Mencius

Vulcanos glared at the rat insolently sitting on the floor of his cell, no more than two lengths away. If he could just get his hands out of the shackels, he'd fry it ... bah, now his stomach was reminding him he hadn't eaten in three days. Maybe he shouldn't have flung the gruel bowl into that guard's face.

Vulcanos spat. Once I free myself, these pigs will pay...

I took the week off from working on my movie series for the holidays (also because i was burning out slightly)

i'm feeling a bit better now and put a little perspective on things and found out some more complications... but also a few minor pluses, so i'm gonna start up work again on the series.

i still have a ways to go on episode 4 because of all the special custom work that the medieval world requires.

i'll keep you posted

hugs,
Stephanie

i had wanted to do a sneak preview of last week's fight scene but hit a major snag and had to bag the plans. it taught me a few things in the process though

Good to be back, Steph. I had actually never downloaded the WoRms haks, and noticed that SF_MainTileset is now v9, not v8. I hope this doesn't cause any problems. Guess we'll see soon...

((OOC: Hi Chiz! Welcome back!))

Joe rubbed his wrist, still sore after trying to swing the Orc warlord's massive axe. "Jesus, that thing's heavy. Here, Nantle, you take this or something. Don't know how you do it."

The lieutenant regarded the sprain, already beginning to fade under the ministrations of the priest and - oddly - the news reporter. "How does this work?" he asked aloud, his thoughts coming together. "I mean... you say some words, there's some sparkles we're better... but sometimes all it takes is for us to take 5, and we're back in the action. We've all taken a heck of a lot of punishment recently, enough to justify getting MEDEVACed outta here a dozen times over, yet... we're still ticking. Why is that?"

If I'm not mistaken, it was at v9 when I started the campaign. I know I had v8 for the Sunday group and I seem to recall updating the mod before Monday began.

Adrian feels a little dizzy, the noise and pain again on his ear. Perhaps it was the grenades they used on the last encounter, but he needs to stay focus, the place seems more complicated than he thought in the first place. However, this time it was different, something changed. First of all, the Lieutenant allowed Adrian to do his work without interference, trusting him, giving enough space. Adrian felt some how at home, doing what he does best, and even better, his knifed touched flesh, a stab in the shadows. They way they handle the combat was good, as it should be, organized, each one knew what to do, where to go, specially the Lieutenant, he gave the right orders this time, with no hesitation. Adrian glances to Joe and slightly smiles, after all this man might be capable to lead them even on such hard ground.

The success of a unit comes when each one knows what to do and perform it, but above all, when there is trust among the members. This was a moment like that, even the Priest was reliable. What he did to Adrian few times when injured, though strange, felt good. The specialist had no idea what was, but somehow helped him to go through all this mess. Could it be possible that this man shows himself useful to the unit? After all is not that bad. Well, that is to go ahead to soon, better wait and give time. In any case, Adrian turns to see the Priest and nods kindly to him, trying to express some gratitude.

OOC I don’t remember which worm’s version we are using, but I do remember that during first session there was an update, because I was not able to join the game and had to d/l everything again, no matter that I did it two days before. I’ve being following the progress of the forest seasonal update, even had a email there with Alleyslink, because I want to add the tiles set to my own module, and as far as I know LB is running the last version, though can’t be 100% sure, I think we will find out soon.
