Alec, do not worry on those details, the general idea fits LB campaigns. According to the Army Guide PDF document on this post, two squads make a platoon, and so on. That is a general guide, in RL things are much more complicated than that, usually the criteria is each 2-5 make the next unit, but that is dependant on the army size (the US is huge, so takes a different path) and the services needed. For example, besides soldiers they need cooks, medics and so on. However, we don’t need to concern about that; as matter of fact not even in RL Lieutenants and Enlisted Personal need to worry about that, it is others job to think on that, the Generals. A squad only concern is the missions they are commissioned and staying alive, and not the Army Organization. The fact that a lieutenant is platoon leader does not mean he can’t work with just one or two of his squads at the time; on the contrary, he should work with them. Now, depending on the characteristics of the mission the platoon could or could not have an officer with them. I believe that if we are looking for a terrorist, which should be the work of some Special Forces Unit, which we are not; it is proper to have one member with rank. Remember one thing, officers and soldiers don’t have the same knowledge within the chain of command. Sergeants are supposed to be not that young, it takes years to reach that position, even if they are not renegades like our platoon Sergeant. They represent the back bone of the Army, they are the experience. On the other hand, officers don’t come from the bottom, they go to a military school (is it WestPoint in the US?) and graduate reaching officer rank, so a lieutenant is supposed to be young, and many times even with no experience in action (see that I’m not using the word combat) Further more, some times the Lieutenant hears the counsel of his Sergeant, and even some times the Sergeant can represent the true immediate image of authority for his squad. The Lieutenant is trained to lead and protect his unit, he bears that responsibility, but he can really on his Sergeants and Enlisted Personal. We should focus on something different, which is how our characters will interact. Never forget that they are human beings after all, and I believe we all can understand and play that role even if we lack of military knowledge. Alec, what you should keep in mind is that your character is an OFFICER, which is the part where you must focus and never forget. Enlisted personal and officers have a different psychology, which is why one is graduate while the other not.

ADHAMIYAH NEIGHBORHOOD (BAGDAD, IRAQ) - CITY STREET (Adhamiyah/Bagdad, Iraq) (Present Day/Near Future) Behind a newswoman is the typical daily street life of an Iraqi neighborhood. She has short, black hair and is Asian-American. She is reasonably dressed for the weather, conditions and culture of the region. She is being filmed by a cameraman obviously. OKI TAWANAKA This is Oki Tawanaka, FOX News. I'm standing here today in the neighborhood of Adhamiyah, in Bagdad. It's been the latest in terrorists attacks that known terrorist Karim Ali al Zaidi has laid claims to. Al-Zaidi is known to have contributed to the planning and execution of no less than twenty suicide bomb attacks. He is responsible for the deaths of at least seven Americans and hundreds of Iraqi citizens. Al-Zaidi is a Jordanian with ties to Al-Qaida. Chet, back to you. FOX NEWS ROOM CHET Oki, how are the people there taking this? ADHAMIYAH NEIGHBORHOOD (BAGDAD, IRAQ) - CITY STREET OKI TAWANAKA The U.S. Armed Forces remain ever vigilant in attempting to track Al-Zaidi and others down and prevent loss of life. Iraqi civilians remain catious; but, continue with their daily lives. Just then a van behind her explodes. Video goes static. FOX NEWS ROOM CHET *panicked* Oki? Oki? *composes himself* Ladies and Gentleman, there seems to have been an explosion of some sort. We'll give you further information as we have it. NEWS CONFERENCE (Four hours later) OFFICIAL Ladies and Gentleman, four hours ago there was a terrorist attack in Adhamiyah, a region of Bagdad. There were at least 20 Iraqis injured and at this time it appears that several Americans were taken hostage in the aftermath. We have no further details at this time. THE END

I've ran into a unique problem when it comes to custom portraits. It used to that I had a portrait folder in the nwn folder and would just put custom portraits there. But for some reason I can't find a portrait folder in the NWN folder anymore. Maybe due to CEP or something. Any ideas on how I put in those custom soldier portraits?

Sorry for the late notice, guys. I will be out of the country/unavailable for a combination of personal and business events for two weeks in August as well as Sep 10 and 17. I will be back on 9/24 and should be able to resume a more normal schedule then. In any case, LB has been kind enough to suggest I could return to the campaign once I'm back on a more normal schedule. I'm looking forward on rejoining you guys then. In the meantime, please try to avoid the TPKs and the "Dark Side"! Best, Chiz
