| Well, you're not going to be able to sell the swords you're carrying in Camar, as trading in weapons is illegal in the city. Actually, the cutlasses and sauran disks that are bogging down Oki aren't really worth all that much to be worth that much trouble. If you want I'll credit your character for their value and we can say you dropped them off at the citadel when you visited with Brannix and his goons. Or if you want to start the session with some one-on-one time with one of the merchants we'll say you did that while the LT and friends were yakking it up with Zala. The passage of time in the module is set to 10 real-time minutes to the hour.

| It's fine, we should be leaving Camar again in a session or two anyway, and things should get a bit more manageable.

OOC: You were collecting all the weapons from all the enemies we killed? Yikes; if I'd have known you were doing that, I would have said, "Leave them", because we can't trade them in Camar. Joe has a spare sword and two sets of sauran throwing disks weighing him down; I was actually planning to toss them in the river when no-one was looking...

ooc i didn't realize that we couldn't sel them in Camar. I'm sorry about that. I'll toss them in the OOC area en at the start osession and LB, you can do as you best see fit. Phil handed me about 50-80 pounded of throwing disks that I'd been handing him during the adventure; because, I thought he was throwing them in combat. I didn't realize he was overburdened with them. He handed them to me at Zala's and I passed them to Joe at the Mansion or so. Anyway, I think that's where part of the problem happened... that weapons were of use and reuse and resale. I'll go back to the mentality that magic weapons are basically the way to go and the rest is trash.

| Actually Phil was throwing the stupid disks but not as fast as Oki was giving them to him! He lost half his weight when Oki took the things and she was lucky it did not give her a crushed spinal cord I thought for sure Joe was going to dump them back on Phil OMG it was like a BIG hot potato! lol I think it was closer to 120 pounds btw lol It will take a week for Phil to push in that hernia!

Torrin ate his breakfast in silence, his eyes seemingly far away. As he finished and pushed his plate away, he turned to Oki and asked, "Oki, would you be so kind as to provide us with the pleasure of your music? It has been a long road and far to little beauty. I'm certain your friends would appreciate forgetting their cares, if only for a few moments. Also, I wish to hear the music of your land. For you can tell much about a culture by its music."

Oki picked up her lute, smiled at Torrin and began: "Faith Of the Heart was written by Diane Warren, and sung by British opera star Russell Watson as well as another popular singer in our land, Rod Stewart." "The magic of believing is this: if we really believe in ourselves, our heart will take us to the highest plateau of personal success. Nothing will stop us as long as we have faith in our hearts." It’s been a long road - Getting from there to here. It’s been a long time, but my time is finally near. And I can feel the change in the wind right now Nothing’s in my way And they’re not gonna hold me down no more No, they’re not gonna hold me now Chorus: Cause I got faith of the heart I’m going where my heart will take me I got faith to believe. I can do anything. I got strength of the soul And no one’s gonna bend or break me I can reach any star. I got faith. Faith of the heart. It’s been a long night, trying to find my way. Been through the darkness now I finally have my day. And I will see my dream come alive at last I will touch the sky And they’re not gonna hold me down no more No, they’re not gonna change my mind Chorus I’ve known a wind so cold. I’ve seen the darkest days. But now the winds I feel are only winds of change. I’ve been through the fire and I’ve been through the rain. But I’ll be fine Chorus ‘Cause I got faith of the heart I’m going’ where my heart will take me I got faith to believe And no one’s gonna bend or break me I can reach any star. I got faith - faith of the heart. It’s been a long road

Oki played another musical selection that she thought was appropo to Torrin's request: "This one is by a famous singer from years past, Judy Garland. It is another inspirational song with religious overtones. I hope you'll excuse it." Forget your troubles c'mon get happy, you better chase all your cares away. Shout hallejulah c'mon get happy get ready for the judgement day. the sun is shinin c'mon get happy, the lord is waitin to take your hand. shout hallejulah c'mon get happy, we're going to the promise land We're headin across the river to wash your sins away in the tide. it's all so peaceful on the other side. Forget your troubles c'mon get happy, you better chase all your cares away. shout hallejulah c'mon get happy, get ready for the judgement day. Forget your troubles c'mon get happy chase ya cares away. hallelu get happy, before the judgement day. The sun is shinin c'mon get happy, the lord is waitin to take your hand. shout hallejulah c'mon get happy, we're gunna be goin to the promise land. were headin cross the river, wash you're sins away in the tide. it's quiet and peaceful on the other side. forget your troubles get happy, your cares fly away. shout hallejulah get happy get ready for your judgement day. c'mon get happy, chase your cares away. shout hallejulah cmon get happy, get ready for the judgment day The sun is shining c'mon get happy, lord is waiting to take your hand. hallejulah c'mon get happy, we're going to the promise land. headin 'cross the river, throw your sins away in the tide. it's all so peaceful on the other side- shout hallelujah c'mon get happy, ya better chase all your cares away. shout hallejulah c'mon get happy, get ready-get ready-get ready, for the judgment day.

Oki noted, "As you can see by comparison Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, some of our songs are uplifting, some are dark and depressing. You may have also heard the Army Marching Song a couple of weeks ago. The Monster Mash was one of our silly dancing songs from 40 years ago that I sang during the undead combat; because, it was ironic. I sang a few other silly and ironic songs during our advenures for other reasons too."

Almost at the same time as Oki discusses the idea of silliness and irony... "Does anyone have any idea how we get rid of all this crap?" wondered the Lieutenant aloud, as he stared at a foot-high pile of cutlasses and sauran throwing-weapons in the squad's rooms. The thought of just leaving it all here briefly crossed his mind, but it was pushed aside. Bad enough if we get pulled aside for arms dealing; a littering charge on top of that can only make things worse...

| Phil snaps to attention, "Sir, I can carry it for you, Sir!" Phil looked at the sauran throwing-weapons with great trepidation muttering quietly, "I'm surprised those things didn't sink the boat!"

Torrin shook his head and smiled ruefully. "Your culture is very...complex, Oki. Your words are moving and bring me a small bit of joy, though I must admit that I do not fully understand your ways. We must seem simple to you, or perhaps the same only in different clothing? Ah, but that is for a wiser man than I to ponder. For now, I will remain entranced by your words. Anytime you feel the song over you, please share it with us."

"Yes, Oki, your singing is quite good. Interesting words, though - 'nothing will stop us as long as we have faith'. I am a bit sceptical, perhaps from experience in facing difficult odds, as those with more faith do not always seem to win, at least in this world." Vulcanos paused for a moment, then went on. "Be that as it may, do all in your world follow the same faith? What god or gods do you worship in your lands?"

Oki replied, "It's an interesting question you ask... some would say there are no gods; some don't even care about the question; others say it is all relative, that all forms of worship are synonomous with each other, ie all the gods are one in the same; others believe that theirs is only truth and all other religions are false; some believe that all religions are equal and in harmony; some religions are monotheistic - only one god; some are a trinity that are aspects of each other; some are based on great teachings of prophets or saviors; some are polytheistic in the millions; some teach helping each other and living in community peacefully; some teach war; some teach human sacrifice; some teach personal well-being above all else. Most of the world follows open religions that teach community is important. Some of the world is in contention with that due to clashes of opinion as to what is right for some communities or cultures are not necessaily right for others. This has led to wars for multitudes of reasons over thousands of years: some last hours, some last 100 years. We are not proud of this; but, it is our planet's history."

Nantle pretty much ignored the discussion on religion. Comparing the religion organization of different worlds wasn't a topic he was very interested in. But the discussion of what to do with spare weapons was practical. "Well sir I'd suggest we try to contact the black market. Of course we're so new to the city that we'd probably just get into trouble. Maybe we should be asking for permanent quarters at the palace? We've done more for the Duke than a lot of guards have pulled off. Would be nice if we could drop off our loot somewhere we wouldn't have to worry about it."

"Hrm," Joe began. "We've seen what they do to prostitutes and thieves, Nantle. I'm betting black marketeers get the same; and we do seem to be followed and watched wherever we go..." He sighed, rubbing his chin. "Maybe we could just drop it in the river."

Oki nearly choked when she heard the term Black Market, "You realize we're 90% likely being surveilled right now? Sorry for sounding like a conspiracy nut; but, why do you think we were hauled off the boat and given the third degree? Remember that big monitoring device that they got?"
