By comparison, Joe takes the news of Camar's ruination rather stoically - a dark look, a grim nod and a tightness around the eyes being the only real hints to the anger he feels.

"He thinks we're dead. I hope. It gives us something we can use. Mikhaela, ave your people had any problems besides these black zombies? Any problem, that is," he adds, reflecting that life in Camar is a whole host of problems one way or another, "that makes it seem like the enemy is aware of you."

Oki stopped filming for a few minutes and she went to Torrin, her tone was sincere and genuine, "My condolences for the losses of your friends, the younger priests in the temple and Lady Tertullia. In all the chaos of everything that has happened, it's finally hit me that you may have lost the most amongst us." She looked to see if he needed a hug or anything.

Mikhela turns at Joe's question.

"You can ask your questions of General Kelantis. We're here."

You realize that the smell of woodsmoke is in the air, accompanied by the familiar scents of people camping in numbers.

Oki was still puzzled by the name, "Lieutenant, so how did you figure out that Lord Kalisbos's name was an alias for Aladon Jariff? I don't get understand the connection between the two names. Is there a dignificance to the relationship?"

Hearing Oki's question, Torrin walked over. "I don't believe there is a name connection, Oki, but Jariff was the only person capable of doing the damage that was done. He may in fact be working for this 'Lord Kalisbos.' Whether he is Lord Kalisbos or not, he is still dangerous to Camyr and must be stopped at all costs. Plus he must pay for the damage he has already done.

Phil sat and listened absently to the others discussing who was who, and the plight in which they found themselves. But he was somewhat preoccupied with curious feeling that he had when leaving the abyss. The feeling of home. He did not understand why this place had felt that way but he wondered if the chance arose, would he stay? Grant it, the portal they would probably have to enter would make him hesitant for sure. But now he did not think it was the only thing.

Follow orders, he thought, that's the best thing to do. Every time I have to make a choice on my own I just screw it up.

"I admit, I don't know he's Kalibos," Joe admitted. "But it all fits, neatly. Guy was planning to wreck Camar before we showed up, he said so himself. Those Orcs were into this dark god crap just like he is, guess they were what he wanted to use. Then we showed up and ruined his plan."

The Lieutenant savoured the small satisfaction of that fact for a moment, before continuing. "But like a trooper, he didn't give up. Maldrigar's answer to save Camar was to pull an army from another world - us. So Jeriff - Kalibos - decides that Maldrigar's idea is so good, he'll do the same. So he gets some swamp lizards to look for that tablet so he can do just that - only we get there first."

"By then, he's realised he can't beat us with his troops. So he steals the tablet, frames Kelantis's guys - who just happen to be on the other side of the country - and sabotages Maldrigar's stuff. And because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time... or maybe just to make us want to catch the killer... he kills Lady Tertullia." Joe scowls, briefly. "While we're out of the picture, he figures out how the tablet works, and by the time we get back, he knows enough to send us even further away."

He lets that sink in, before finishing. "Only, he screwed up. He didn't kill us. Maybe he thought he couldn't. Maybe he thought sending us to the tenth level of Hell or wherever was enough."

"Of course, it wasn't," the Lieutenant muses. "It so wasn't. All he's done is armed us with some of the most dangerous weapons a man can carry; resolve, righteous anger, and a purpose above all. Because that Light he thinks has gone, hasn't - it's right here," and here Joe puts a hand over his heart, "in everyone who's come together in the face of what he's done."

"And I hope we can bring that truth to him, one way or another," he finishes, a little grimly.

Sorry, guys, but I'm going to have to skip tonight. I almost fell asleep a few times at work, so I think an early night is in order.

Vulcanos, who had been listening to the Lieutenant's speech intently, allowed himself a modest smile. So they do care. The Stranger permitting, it will be enough. Speaking out loud, "I am glad you are with Torrin and I, and with Camar. I thank you for your help, and promise that for my part it will not be forgotten."

Oki thought for a bit, "I'll do my best to help to bring peace to this land.

I have a second job to do as wel: I'll do my best to continue recording our journies... perhaps not only will I be able to pass on our stories; but, I might be able to pass them on to more bards when this is over. People will want to know how this all went down both in your world and in ours. Your world will need its history recorded for future generations to pass on.

On a more personal note, I have a third job, which no one needs to state the obvious stakes involved..." Her hand moved gently over her belly and she smiled at them.

Oki was looking forward to releasing the Djinni from its captivity. She'd always heard of legends of Djinni's that were bound to service and thought it wrong, even though at the time it seemed only fiction in a way... still, the concept of slavery seemed wrong even in a mythical form like that.

She was often in positions where she had to report on conditions where slavery existed in on form or another and she was simply not in a position to do anything about it, due to prevailing conditions. Sometimes She would be in a position where she would be reporting on atrocities and unable to do anything about it, as merely an observer of events. Sometimes she was in a compromised position in reporting the news and could only report what she was allowed to report to a certain degree of latitude of freedom. Sometimes she was reporting the news from the inside scoop of those making the changes to the bad things happening around her.

That was the typical role of either the war correspondent or getting an exclusive news story on an activity that either wasn't sanctioned or was Black OPS.

This was where Oki's role came into being. She now had close to four months on probably the most unique story ever between her world and this world... okay, maybe among the top twenty to fifty... there have been some pretty amazing stories in history; but, this one was really out there... one would have to admit that at least.

Here she was now, helping to free a Djinni now. Amazing stuff. In many ways, she wasn't just recording history, she was helping to make it... something she was proud to be doing with these men. They were setting right many things and helping many many people across this world and when they got back home they'd be helping even more hopefully.

At times, she sometimes didn't even care if no one back home believed her story. She was just glad that she was making a difference so far. They still had much further to go before this was all done; but, the Lieutenant and Torrin had a way of reinforcing her own faith that they all would succeed in their goals.

Phil heard everyone calling the thing a Djinni. He highly doubted that is what it was. For one thing, he thought, Djinnis were always female, and for another they lived in bottles! He knew this because every time they past through the room where the imposter Djinni was held captive there was no bottle to be found.

But who was he to tell the others how wrong they had things. He had missed things once in a while. But he would keep an eye out for any trouble just in case.

ooc: last session, the creature in the center of the masoleum was calling himself a Djinni, I believe. Aladin had a Djinni in an old oil lamp (and possibly even a lesser Djinni in a ring, where the two Djinni's battled) in one famous story. It was recently shown as a 20-30 minute segment to a 4 hour movie called Arabian Nights on Ion and Sci-Fi channels. I saved the movie for other reasons on my DVR.

[OOC]: Right, right. Sorry, but the last session I was falling asleep at my computer due to having mistakenly taken a sinus tablet before the session start and I coasted through about half of it.
