A very fun game. If I had any complaints, it would be that there were too many people in the group. Usually, I think it's best to have no more than five people because voices can easily be drowned out. Still though, I had a ton of fun. This is one of the best games I've played on NWC. Thanks for the game! ------------------------- I enjoyed the game, which was my first and I was impressed with Festivus as a DM. He was supportive throughout the game especially through some problems with connections and stuff I was having. He was responsive and I thought the game ran pretty smoothly. It was a fun module and I enjoyed the company. ------------------------- I had a great time! ------------------------- Being my first game, I was pleased with the experience and would most likely do this again. Festivus was helpful, yet not a 'hand-holder'. Well done. ------------------------- Wow! Great game. I see why he was rated best DM. The world was amazing, the traps and tricks were great, tough but not impossible. The NPCs seemed very realistic. Great game! Thanks again!!

Good afternoon Ladies and Germs, Newb Crew DMs is proud to announce the scheduling of our DM101 Cert game. DM's: Belgarion64 Dane Bramage Mod: Lazybones' Shrine of Eth'Barat (HotU). The game page is listed below. http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/members/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewschedule&id=13476 Player comments from our game last night: ~~~ Very enjoyable evening. The DM's ran the NPC's well, and provided content that is simply unattainable from stock NPC's in modules. Their style allowed the players to RP a great deal, which spiced up what was otherwise a fairly simple one-shot. I was very impressed with how the adventure ran. Enjoyed it immensely. *** Enojyed the game immensely ... looking forward to more adventures with you guys! *** This game ran extremely smoothly, especially considering these were new DMs. Game started on time (and I can't say that for many old-hand DMs even!) and the DMs knew their stuff. They dealt with the lack of two players efficiently and aptly. Great job. *** I don't have much experience playing DM'd games, so my opinion maybe a bit... Skewed by my inexperience. It was much fun, especially considering the DM was just as inexperienced as we were; it could've turned out badly, but it didn't. ~~~ It seems as if everyone had a good game. The group did an excellent job of RPing, and I even thought they would actually get into a fight at one point . We got started a bit late due to some player issues and good RPing at the begining. We ran over the alotted time a bit, but everyone stayed to finish. This was certainly the most fun I have ever had playing the game. I'm sure I will play from time to time, but for the most part, I see myself DMing regularly. Thanks to everyone that played, and thanks to the organizers of NW University to help us newbs become better DMs. Dane Bramage ~~~ The sun went down in honey, and the sun came up in wine. The stars were spining dizzy while the band kept us so busy. We forgot about the time.

Hiya folks... I took the DM101 course about a month or two ago. And somehow got shangied into this game of major proportations. Anyway it's an application game, so I'm thinking I might as well use it for my certification (although do I really need it if I'm a contender on the DM hall of fame?) anyway here's the link for my next game... http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/members/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewschedule&id=14246 BTW: we still looking for more players if anyone is interested... it just keeps growing and growing... The ANT...

Hello, I took the 101 class and ran several games and I note that Old Scratch requested that I get the DM 101 certification on May 26th. I was just wondering if there is a delay or if I have accidentally been missed. I'm not worried but I would appreicate it if the situation could be fixed. I fully appreicate that everyone is busy so no worries just wondering if this is normal, thanks, Vual

Since I will be one of the DMs running an application event(s) at NWCon 2.5,I decided that could probably qualify as my certification game. http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/games/index.cfm/fuseaction/displaygame/id/15337.htm http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/games/index.cfm/fuseaction/displaygame/id/15338.htm http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/games/index.cfm/fuseaction/displaygame/id/15339.htm DM101 class: August 31, 2004 Post-game(s) comments:
"What a show! The DMs did an excellent job both in the preparation and execution of this adventure. The area design was one of the best I've seen so far, containing lots of eye candy and great use of the CEP hakpacks. There were many interesting NPCs from the dragon lady and her kitties to King Durin of the dwarves. The skeleton butler really stood out and caught me by surprise with his line 'May I take your coat?'! The battles were challenging and fun, with a great variety of enemies through the adventure. Overall, a very fun experience! Looking forward to see you guys again! " "This game was extraordinary! The NPC's seemed more like actual player characters and the dwarves were absolutely perfect! This was an exceptional game experience and I enjoyed every minute of it and am hopeful to be included in these DM's games in the future *crosses fingers and grins*. " "Great work from the Sojourney team on Destiny's Forge. We had a great group of players too!" "I really had a blast with this game. it was serious fun! the DMs had all in control and I cannot find a thing to complain about (mind that this compliment comes from a fellow DM! " "The plot for the game was rather simplistic on paper, but the DMs really made the NPCs come alive, and gave them a lot of depth, which made even a simple plot, extremely fun. Their knowledge of the Forgotten Realms was quite extensive, which is always a big plus for me. They gave us plenty of time to roleplay, but even with this, we managed to focus on the main plot and come through in the end. Definitely one of the best games I've ever played in. " "Very well organised, polished performance. Well played, thanks to all the DM's for their efforts. Real fun game.. "

I can't remember the game id for the game that I ran. It was a Vethboro Dragon session which I ran with the assistance of FP and japh. Its really just me getting certified though but I don't have a link to the page. I think the game id was 15938 but I'm not sure so I can't post the URL unless there's some way I can find out. Please Help!

http://neverwinterconnections.com/games/index.cfm/fuseaction/displaygame/id/16547.htm That is the link to our game it went a little haywire but people seemed to still enjoy it I dont know if the certification still happends but I thought I should still try. Comments: I just want to say that I love the format of the game, the two teams racing/fighting to control the tokens to win the game, LOVE IT! Its a lot of fun. You have to fight the other team, as well as all the monsters in the game. However, the game did have a few bugs, but not so many that it wasnt enjoyable. But if I could say anything to the DM's: Stay hidden except when you are actively speaking witht the pc's ( in the heat of combat you did add one more thing to try to deal with (I did try to taret you with a spell once of twice, because I thought you were on the other team ). all in all I had a good time last night thanks for letting me play. cheers! The game was great. The Dm's were great. The teams were not evenly matched. But I had loads of fun anyway. This was a fun PvP game and I want to thank both DMs for running it. The DMs made an effort to balance it in progress when it became clear Blue was much more organized than Red. The Team Challenge is hard to balance, especially when we get 3 players per side. I'd recommend buffing up the players beyond L10 at start if there are 3 on a team as the monsters are pretty tough. There were some issues getting the server up and running, but once I was able to join, everything looked pretty stable. Only thing I didn't understand is why Blue didn't drop a victory token once we killed them all. When I've played this mod in the past the victory token drops when the player holding it is killed; a DM mentioned Blue held the token but it didn't drop although we killed all 3 Blue players. Anyway, this was fun, thanks again!
