Just wanted to reach out to some of the new players on NWN who might be looking for a game to join or looking for players to sign up for one of there DM'd games.

I've been reading some posts and just based on what Ive seen Ive noticed some new players are having problems starting campaigns or even joining some existing ones. I figure this might be a good thread to get some of those people on the same page and give them the chance to network and start up a new group. I know based off my experience coming back to this site that it isnt as full as it used to be (Obviously, the game has been out half a decade already)and finding a game not based in a PW is a tough find. Either way, best of luck finding a game.

Your Pal and fellow Noob,

Hi there everyone!

I'm new to NWNC, although I've been playing NWN for years. I am having trouble figuring out how to find a game when so many of them are set to invite-only.

I'd like to meet some people who are playing on weekends or on evenings (PST).

Let me know if there's anything out there that might fit.

Thanks!

Welcome Newbies!!!

I've been at this for a while, and I welcome newcomers to my campaign, although I admit sometimes it's hard to find a seat.

Don't be intimidated by the invite only games. Most DMs are cool about letting newcomers in. If you see a game you want to join try sending the host a PM. You'll usually get an invite out of it.

I tend to urge people to start their own gaming groups with good multiplayer modules that are easily hosted, as well as being on the lookout for campaign openings and announcements.

While PMing someone that has an established campaign or game may work, please be polite about it and realize that invite-only games are usually that way for a reason (i.e. it's full up).

I run a closed campaign (have to turn folks down periodically for unsolicited interest) but post new games on a regular basis, check the front page of NWC and the player forum for announcements.

I seconded Carlo One's suggestions: most invite only games are usually that way because the campaign is full and trying to invite another player may be problematic due to server or other limitations. If you're having a hard time finding an open game, start one of your own.

I'll second that. As openings occur in my campaigns, I look over the list of folk who have previously PM'ed me their interest and invite them first. It may take a while, but you're on the list.
