Hey everybody, I'm new to NWNConnections, but not exactly new to the D&D world. I've played Baldurs Gate 1&2 multiple times, Ice Windale and of course NWN. I was scimming the guide to the site and noticed something about a Mentoring program? I was wondering if anybody
could help me out, I'm not sure how to get started, or how exactly to sign-up for the
games.
Anyway I'm really excited to play with everybody!
thanks!

it's simple.

there ae three types of games.

uncolored - free to join. all you need is to make a character here in the sight and sign up with it (make sure the levels match those that the game allows so you'll be able to join)

blue - application. you need to applicate the game and write what the orginizer wants to hear (usualy it's "give me the background of your character" and stuff like that)

red - only by invitations. you get an invitation from the orginizer of the game. usualy these are full, but you can also ask the orginizer through a privite message of the game to join. if you have an interest in his game and wants to join. (*echos a user from the sight* the worst answer you'll get is "no"

There are also two guides you can check out:

The new player guide: http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/FAQ.htm

And the role-player's guide: http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/other/data/1054180720258.shtml

Both of these guides are located on the main page.

Hi Oldaric...

I am relatively new here as well.

I have found all the posters and members here to be extremely approachable and friendly. The DMs are amazing and a few offered me great advice from day 1.

Do take a minute to read the guides. They explain a lot!! They do not take much time to read/scan.

Many games are continuing campaigns; they require a ongoing commitment. If a DM offers to take you through a DM led experience in a PW - that is a great way to get chat commands etc down pat. Great idea for short dips into the pool.

Good luck and good gaming. Hope to see you.

Yeah the mentoring system has gone the way of the dodo bird. It was great while it lasted and served its purpose, since back then everyone was new to the site. Now just about everyone that frequents the place knows what’s going on and just about anyone can answer your questions for help... *Points to the previous posters above*… Good luck and happy gaming…LION
