Avlis 2: Crosstreams is brought to you by the same NWN 1 veterans who produced Avlis; one of the largest and most successful persistent worlds for that platform. This experienced crew has taken the lessons they have learned to develop an outstanding immersive roleplay experience within the NWN 2 platform. Originally a PnP campaign with a rich history spanning 1000’s of in game years; Avlis has become more than just a persistent world; it is a thriving community of dedicated role players from across the globe. Player characters can actually influence the world and forge new history, and though it is a rare occasion, a few past players’ characters have even ascended to godhood.
The rich detailed history of the Avlis 2 project provides players with numerous roleplay opportunities, including unique custom races and prestige classes, and the DM team allows the players to shape the story of the world before their very eyes. A unique reputation system allows a player to gain or lose esteem with the various factions at work within the City of Crosstreams, thus allowing the possibility of real consequences to your actions.
The design team has also developed a highly dynamic custom crafting system with near infinite possibilities that will give crafting characters an opportunity to craft almost anything available in the world setting.
The death system on Avlis 2 strives for a balance between the serious consequences of death while making it fun for the player. As with our other systems, the team has had the advantage of working through the player criticisms of the Avlis 1 systems and attempting to improve the roleplay experience in Avlis 2.
