OOC Thread

Hey guys this is just a place to post anything OOC. I thought it would be a good way of letting people know if you can't make a session but still want to rp in downtime, without using the rp thread, ideas, comments or anything else in general :-)

Last session was great

Last session was also my first session in this campaign, and my first session after more than a year without playing.

I am not the usual player of online computer games. NWN is the only game I have ever bought in my whole life. I don't have much money and time to spend on games, but I think NWN is worth it.

After all these years, since I bought the original game, only now I can play it fine, because only now I have a pc with 128 VRAM (I had only 32, and I couldn't see the game in full detail), and a good enough connection.

I was worried that, because only now, after so many years, I can finally enjoy this game in deep, there would be no more players. But they are still here, and they are very good. I want to thank you all for still playing NWN 1, so later gamers have a chance to play this wonderful game.

After all this time

Your right. It's nice to see that after all these years there is still great community content with great people to play it with. The community may have diminished a bit, but I think it left it with better quality of roleplayers and people.

At the end of the 12/29/08 Session

At the end of the game session those that were left were debating whether or not to continue at the current location next game session or start back in town.

Which would leave Rose, Mathais and Enrith deep in Drow territory. Then Rakhir, Knut and whoever else would join the game back in town. Rakhir and Knut died, but rules for chapter 3 & 4. Would have them back alive and well in town at the start of next game session.

I just wanted to post what was being discussed for those that weren't there at the very end of the game session. Nothing is set in stone yet for where everyone would start.

DM Hall of Fame Inductee for Dec 2008

DM Hall of Fame Inductee for Dec 2008

I would like to thank everyone that voted for me to reach this milestone I've looked at for many years. To me it says that I've made a game that is fun and enjoyable and time well spent for those players that have come to play in my games.

I also noticed that this month we had three people that made it within the top 10 for Player Hall of Fame for the month of Dec. I feel that we've got some fantastic players and roleeplayers that have come into the Heartstone Saga.

So for those that have taken the time to review other players and vote for who they feel were the best I'm sure they all appreciate it.

Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Starting Point

Having us split does create a problem, and I fully understand those in the Drow territory not wanting to start back in town just so those of us who perished can rejoin them. I wouldn't want to walk that again if I didn't have to, and shouldn't have the opportunity to resupply in town.

Rakhir's plan(from the RP forum) is to find Gloin and get some rope to climb down to the cave where he lost the stone. Some tragedy could befall the rope and put that group on foot to catch up to the others from that point. And if Gloin can't make the game, he has an appointment with some goblins that jumped him.

Perhaps an early start for those in town to make their way to the Pit?

P.S. Congrats on the HoF, well deserved.

HAHA, this is what I have been wondering since most of the group died or teleported away.

When we were in game, I think I annoyed everyne and the DM, by using Use Magic Device and Lore checks all over looking for someway to make it teleport us out of the dungeon back to Rakhir.

Well, now that we are in the dungeon still, even if the rest of the group wants to be in the town, I am voting to leave Mathias in the Underdark.

I am not sure how Greywolf will handle this, might want to put an ad in the paper for another DM for the night, unless its pretty automated in the underdark.

Last I remember, the group was about to walk into a large group of drow warriors on the lower levels, so that might be a delicate sitituion to just let us freerun on.

I second Rakhir's rope plan to speed up the action a bit.

Apologies for my absence

Hey guys sorry for the absence lately but the reason for this is that i'm in the air force and i moved bases over the holiday season so my gaming schedule really went out of the window and that's also the reason i missed the last session.

Also i now work monday to friday and being as i'm a limey the timings for games in the uk are from 02.00 to 04.30 however that doesn't really bother me as i am willing to carry on in the campaign.

Well like i said above i can't make the 26th (a monday) but could play either the 24th or 25th if greywolf wouldn't mind dm'ing then and you guys don't mind re-scheduling.

Once again sorry for my absence of late and i hope to get back online in heartridge soon with gloin and his clan!

I think I have the 25th free. Though in order to reschedule I would like all the current players to reply if it's ok with them. I'd only reschedule if it's ok with all the players that have signed up for that day and time.

Sure. No problem with the time change.

Going to need a dwarf to take a few blows for me.

Rescheduling is OK with me.

As for the starting locations, I'm up for a split start, if that doesn't cause too many headaches for the person in charge.

Well I went ahead and moved the game day to Sunday the 25th. Though I'm not entirely free that day as I thought I was. (in-laws 40th wedding anniversary). I just won't be available during the day, but will be back at least an hour before game time.

Also just to let everyone know where I'm at in the recreation of the Heartstone Modules. I just finished making Chapter 5. That one will be a mind bender with some of the puzzles and traps. Just two more chapters to remake and it's still quite a journey.

That day would work for me as well (I didn't sign up because Monday 26th was out for me).

Hope to see you all the 25th. :-)

Good Game :-)

Well, I certainly had a lot of fun -- excepting the very end, which wasn't so "pleasant".

I guess the server went down? My game crashed and then I wasn't able to reconnect -- not sure where the problem was.

At any rate, wanted to say that I enjoyed the session and thank you all for the good game.

Hope to see everyone the next session. Dave

PS. Tal has not abandoned the body of Onyx -- he will pack it around until it can be revived if necessary.

I send everyone a message that the server was going down. It was 30 min past when the game was supposed to end.

Was an interesting session. Things went a bit different than I expected.

Yeah, I remember seeing that -- sort of got caught up in the moment I guess.

Now, if we would have stopped on time, we would have avoided that nasty bit at the end, at least until next game. Probably best we got it out of the way here -- hate starting a session with everyone getting smoked in the opening scene.

I've now played in two sessions -- have had characters die in each of them -- anyone else see a pattern developing? :

Yes, I know -- those guys looked tough; they said they were "tough"; heck one of them is packing a glowing weapon; do you think he might be "tough"? But, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do; and when they start lobbing arrows at your companions; well it's time to start swinging the ole axe -- better than standing around waiting to see who is next.
