I would suggest starting off with a simple adventure that gives the players many choices, and allows them to roleplay freely. Something morally ambiguous, perhaps. Also, make sure you have a world where there's not only one way of solving your plot. But I think you should schedule a short adventure (perhaps a dungeon crawler) for one session and have fun with only 3-4 players. If you advertise it as a call for help, and you make it about everyone being there for you to learn to use the interface, I'm not so sure people will be interested. It's a game and they want to have fun. There are quite a few new players, who just like you, are experienced PnPers. When I first started, I took a module I had played by myself in single player, deleted all the conversations and scripted sequences and ran it myself (Long Live The King was the module). I got so into it, that it became a soap opera of a campaign. Before you run it for players, play in DM mode by yourself and figure out how to do anything you might need to do. For example jumping from NPC to NPC with a click of a slotted shortcut (or in my case F7)
