I've agreed to help Skunkeen with the PR for this year's 'Con. I think there's still enough time to plan a small campaign to pique some more interest, assuming we have some relevant forums to post in besides this one. Do we have a website outlining the whole thing that we can point people to?
On an unrelated note, I'm also wanting to build 3 small one-shot mods that I can run as a mini-campaign, but no promises on that one until I'm sure I can free up enough time for all that. My idea is to give people something they can drop in on or walk away from while also giving them something they can come back to if they find themselves wanting more.

I'm gonna aim to run 1 or 2 one-shots for this that focus upon the city of Melvaunt (in the Moonsea Region) in the Forgotten Realms. Although they may not have a strictly horror theme, but they will touch upon some 'darker' themes.

Yeah you can blame me for the typo's, and subjects aren't editable, so we're stuck with those for now...
Thanks to those who've stepped forward thus far.
Also, I'd ask that those planning to actually host events, if you could post in the NWCon 5 thread in the DM Forum as that's where I will be sorting thru and putting together our rough schedule of events as details emerge.

Usually, my schedule is so busy that I'm never around for NWN Con, but this year I'm going to make an effort and host a module that will display different types of tricks, traps, puzzles, riddles, mazes and monsters. I'll do my own promoting for this event on different sites, cause you just can't expect people to just show up and sign up..
What I would like to accomplish with this module set up 5 different times for people to try out the module. Hopefully get at least 2 to 6 people for each different time slot. Each group will have at the most 3 hours to finish it. (hopefully the can get through it all sooner than that) The party that can complete the Labyrinth the fastest wins. (maybe a prize or something.. who knows.
I figure that perhaps this would help builders show what they can make as far as a puzzle or a trap, or riddle, or it could just be a good challenge to players to see how well people can work together to solve the labyrinth.
If any of the staff members would like to see what I plan on doing just send me a message and I'll give you a tour and perhaps you could add a little to it as well.
Though once you see it... you won't be able to participate in it.

It is now less than two months to the convention itself - any chance we could get THIS convention posted on the front page of NWC anytime soon? Delays will cost you attendees, so I strongly advise getting rid of the old and posting the new NOW.

I've set up the game and listed it in DM forums. Are the games going to be published in bulk on Player Connections or do we look at recruiting for our own seperately? Plus do I need to advertise it on any other forums. This might have been covered elsewhere but if so point the blonde at the location.

NWCon5 is the fifth online convention for Neverwinter Nights and Neverwinter Nights 2 players. The con includes in-game and chat-based seminars where experts will share their NWN knowledge on DMing, gaming, building, and more. And, of course, there are games. Lots of Games! Still looking for NWN2 events.
Those of you thinking of hosting, the earlier you get your stuff posted, the more likely you'll get people to sign up and participate. Last year we had far more events than players, so that's not a minor consideration.
