The Deep Space Patrol! A proud, dedicated band of volunteers, brought together by pioneering spirit and a genuine love for their fellow man.
Be it protecting fledgling colonies, searching the space lanes for lost or damaged craft, shipping valuable supplies and researching the strange wonders of space - no task was too big, no problem too dangerous for the Patrolmen. With their ships, their guns and their true hearts, they watch over Earth's sons and daughters far from home, ever vigilant for any possible threat...
That's what the history books say. These days, the interplanetary post is reliable, space travel is comfortable and affordable, the colonies are self-sufficient and prosperous and what little exploration still goes on goes on under the aegis of the Corporations. Deep Space just doesn't seem that deep any more.
In a safe and settled galaxy, there's little need for a Deep Space Patrol, but as long as there are dirty jobs that no-one else wants to do, it's not going anywhere. It's not the thrilling adventure it was, but hey, a job's a job, and the Patrol's far from picky who it recruits these days. For some people, it's all there is - and that might just include you.
There's a space or two available in this group for a campaign due to begin early in June, so any applicants would be in from the start. It's a D20 Modern campaign so yes, you will be in a spaceship and yes, you will get to fire guns.
Interested players please PM myself or Smart Alec with a character outline. Bear in mind we are not asking for you to define a character to fulfil a crew role (such as pilot) at this point. Further details on the campaign page.
