Hello there. We are an older PW that was recently rebuilt by a few crazy dedicated numbskulls and it seems word of mouth has gone out and we find ourselves with about 5 to 20 people logging in daily. Hopefully the trend stays to the point we soon have 20 people on all the time. Would be ideal though we could hanlde more but then would have to seriously upgrade our Staff. We are very close to Pen and Paper in rules and use only the CEP as our hak. We have swimming, teleport, deity and domains. We have Timed, Exploration and even Player Awarded XP. Heck...we have too much to list here. We are based in the Forgotten Realms area of the Silver Marches. No...at the moment we do not allow drow as our Underdark is not in and really...not sure if we could handle a bunch of Drizzit clones running around at the moment. Crafting, new spells…so many different fun little bits to see. Hope you take a look at our forums and our Site and let us know what you think. You can pm here or on the forums under the name moulinous or DM Nojheim. http://www.talesofthesilvermarches.com/forum/index.php

Some screen Caps http://www.talesofthesilvermarches.com/forum/index.php?topic=1173.0 I fully recommend anyone that is interested in strong roleplaying, supportive mature community, and attentive DM's to come by and sit a spell. There are numerous unique scripts and processes in place that are not seen in other modules. Long story short, we built this server around various goals. Our first and foremost goal was to create an environment that was supportive of building a place for socializing as much as combat. We have succeeded there with our XP system which supports all activities, not JUST combat. Secondly our goal was to build this with the players involvement. As such, we regularly take and use suggestions, assistance, and interaction from players both in game and, through the forums, in consideration for the direction the server community goes. In fact, we have a player chat window through skype that runs 24/7 where players pop in and out of and can visit with each other at all hours around the clock. Another aspect of creating a social community, not just a place to play. Lastly, Impartiality and maturity are paramount. The DM team is built around the tenant of being storytellers, not policemen. While they will maintain good order when necessary, the final word falls upon the GM team to decide upon. As such, this has, along with the DM team's maturity, ensured that cliques and favoritism that plagues other servers cannot gain ground here. As for maturity, that is upon the players which they have shown more than equal to the task. Truly this is one of the best communities that I have ever had the pleasure to be part of. We are looking forward to seeing you in the Silver Marches and if you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM as Stonewyvern on the forums.

Well met! Someone recently asked how friendly we are to new players and before I had a chance to respond you can see what the Player Base had to say here. A collection of pictures We are an older PW that was completly rebuilt by a few crazy dedicated numbskulls and it seems word of mouth has gone out and we find ourselves with about 5 to 15 people logging in daily. Hopefully the trend stays to the point we soon have 20 people on all the time. Of course that would be ideal though we could handle more than 20 at a time but then would have to seriously upgrade our Staff. I am hoping to stay about a 5 players to 1 ratio on Staff. We are based in the Forgotten Realms area of the Silver Marches. No…at the moment we do not allow drow as our Underdark is not in and really...not sure if we could handle a bunch of Drizzit clones running around at the moment. But we are working on it and Drow will be allowed soon as well as 60 plus other Sub Races. Crafting, new spells…so many different fun little bits to see. Hope you take a look at our forums and our Site and let us know what you think. You can pm here or on the forums under the name DM Nojheim. We are very close to Pen and Paper in rules and use only the CEP as our hak. We have swimming, teleport, deity and domains. We have Timed, Exploration and even Player Awarded XP. Heck...we have too much to list here but here goes. Our death system was designed by a fellow named aptly Axe Murderer. His system allows it so players when they do expire have some options. They can wait and hopefully their erstwhile partners are carrying their bloated corpses back to a Priest to raise them back to life like Max the Miracle Worker. Or in the Fugue they may take the portal back which will give them some options from taking random items, some vital xp, or gold. Guess you can buy your way out of hell so to speak, lol. You can even choose whether to go to a temple or to the spot you died. Then our bleeding system is a bit different. When you’re smacked down by a wolf he might eat you or wander away. While a Zombie would of course dig in like you’re the last burger at Rosanne’s House. But a goblin might grab some of your gold or just maybe you gave that bandit as good as you got and he might hunker down a few feet away and try and heal himself up a bit in case that stubborn adventure gets up. Basically like everything we have added we have tried for three things to guide us. 1/ Character Development. 2/ Fun and challenging…not just one or the other. 3/ The Player Base asked for it. In that spirit we have installed and modified the following list of features. Crafting/Tradeskills Player Housing True Forgotten realms Deity System Spell Storing Devices Personnel Storage Hide Level Character List on Start Up Rest Menu Features This bears mentioning that lets you do a host of things dependant on your PC plus a lot of neat extras Real Seasons Real Time Fishing Actual Caravans Teleporting New Spells Some very unique Items • An intelligent sword that backtalk’s dependant on the area your in • A Robe of Time Stop • A Gladiator Net • A Cloak of Levitation • A few hundred more Custom Summoning by domains/class/race/alignment True PnP Style Turn Undead (Heck control them if your evil) Dragon Riding Horse and Ponies both for riding AND Pack Animals Pack penguins (don’t ask I was drinking that day) True Drinking Scripts Gambling from Black Jack to Roulette to Animal Races Beautiful Designed Naturally Flowing Areas Our own AI that is realistic Factions Guilds and Such Very Active Staff Silver Marches Forum

You may get a bit more participation, if you schedule a regular event here for your PW using the NWC scheduler and then post an announcement in the player connection forum. This would let folks know when and where to meet up in their local time. Good luck! Karvon

The Crystal Keys Dilemma Long ago, a great and powerful Lich forged fantastic magical artifacts. The Lich's fell magic was so powerful that even the gods feared to cross him. On a whim the Lich let loose these magical artifacts on Toril. They caused much havoc and destruction and the Lich was delighted and entertained. The two that caused the most destruction were...Crenshinibon the sentient crystal shard and the Gatekeeper's Crystals. So with the passage of time the Lich has been forgotten but he has not forgotten....
The Doom and Gloom Bard Competition The House of the Harp (formerly the Fochlucan college) is having a competition to announce its new opening. There will be a competition judged by three well known Bards and Sages. The tales will be judged on several different key areas. Competitors will be asked to perform two different pieces before a panel of judges, with the Silver Lady in attendance. Competitors will be judged by a groups of judges. The scores will be averaged and the performer with the highest average score is the winner. There is no theme for either piece and can be in any style the competitor chooses (the two pieces can, if fact, be the same format). The competition will take place in the newly opened House of the Harp following evening Court. Refreshment will be provided. Grand Prize; There will be a book (or two) in our module with your PCs name and songs/poetry. We also will upload this as a link to the Vault to be downloaded if they wish to have it there as well. If the player is someone who already plays here they will have free room and board at one of the College's Rooms. If it is a player from another server who wins we can make their PC into a NPC Teacher at the college. Sept 11th is the Bards Competition. Sept 12th is the Crystal Keys Dilemma.
