I'm starting this thread to sort out DM/Organizer specific issues, questions and comments related to our upcoming NWCon 5.
Please use the following format for the title of your event:
NWC5-(version)-(type)-(event title)
Suggested main types:
C - Contest - Players competing for top score.
G - Game - typical 1 shot adventure.
P - PW Event - session set in PW.
S- Seminar - 1+ main speakers; 0-15 min Q&A
D - Chat/Discussion - 1+ main speakers; 15 min+ Q&A
Other types?
So a sample entry...
NWC5-NWN1-C-The Pillaging of Waycrest.
Also, for those planning to host events, feel free to begin scheduling these on the NWC calender as that will give us ideas of which slots are going to be active. We can of course have multiple events running at the same time, but ideally, we'd like to provide as many events in as many different slots as possible to maximize the options folks have thru out the weekend.

NWC5-NWN1-C The Labyrinth,
The Labyrinth will have puzzles, tricks, traps, mazes, riddles, and even monsters. All which will lead to one of the most largest prized rubies of the land.
The fastest group of people to be able to make it through the Labyrinth wins. Though you have to make it through it which is the hard part. You'll have to be able to work together as a group and think about each situation to be able to make it to the end.
It'll be using the CEP version 2.2c

Well got my games all posted and scheduled on NWC, I think I'll start doing a bit of advertising a month ahead of time.
Then a week before the NWC5 I'll message a reminder to all the players. You never know when someone changes their mind or their schedule changes and can't play.

NWN5-NWN1-G Dead Set
You arrive with a fanfare of publicity such as you have not received in a long time. A place in the Celebrity Big Brother house could revitalise your flagging carreer; or so your manager said. So here you are with 6 others whom you know by name and reputation if not by sight as you are shepherded through the security door and into the house itself. Several weeks of easy money if you play your cards right and manage not to get evicted.
If only you'd known.....
Sunday Nov 1st, 3:30 to 5:30 GMT.
I've tried and I'm incapable of running one offs so this is a launch for a short D20 modern based campaign of 4 to 6 week duration dependent on player activity.

Already had applications for the game as it was seen on the new games list. Do we just go ahead and start spreading word now?
Oh! As a note for the list at the top this game will actually be 3:30 p.m. GMT as the clocks will have changed by then, though it's currently scheduled at GMT +1 under daylight savings. I'll try to adjust as the clocks begin to change.

I'm sure that Venture's site will be carrying advertising for us. I'm sure that Karvon has a list. I do know that he is on vacation for a couple of weeks, which would be why he hasn't responded in the last couple of days.
NWNPodcast will begin making regular announcements on it as well.

NWC5-NWN1-G-War of the Worlds
We know now that in the twentieth century this world was being watched closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own. We know now that as human beings busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinized and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinize the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacence people went to and fro over the earth about their little affairs, serene in the assurance of their dominion over this small spinning fragment of solar driftwood which by chance or design man has inherited out of the dark mystery of Time and Space. Yet across an immense ethereal gulf, minds that to our minds as ours are to the beasts in the jungle, intellects vast, cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.
It was near the end of October. Business was better. The war scare was over. More men were back at work. Sales were picking up. On this particular evening, you are enjoying a well deserved vacation weekend at the Lakeside Resort, when suddenly everything you think you know, everything you worry about, everything you have expected of your world was suddenly cast into oblivion....
This game uses d20 Modern 1.3, CEP 2.1, and Worms Seasonal Forest 10. It is for 2nd level characters, which have to be pre-rolled and the bics emailed to me in order to play (it's a d20 Modern thing). Any non-spellcasting classes, race human only, equipment clothing only.

As I recall Daylight Savings kicks in in the USA from Sunday Nov 1, so those of you hosting in places so affected, make sure your event hosting time is adjusted accordingly, or you'll have people arriving an hour off.
