Things went pretty well from a DM's Point of View but maybe not from a players in some areas. Chapter 5 is where it kinda gets hard. You have to think about each situation and look at each battle as it may be your last. Decide whether to fight or try to sneak around. Roleplay a bit more like looking at the ground for tracks or listening to the door as to what's behind it. Try to persuade a soldier to leave his post and fight by your side. These are just a few examples that could help out in many situations in the past and in the future. Everyone began in town and went up to talk to Captain Bartley. Rakhir, Andare' and Arsenia learned from the Captain that they should gather up the three elemental stones in Miko Tasheka's House and then find the fourth somewhere in the Pits of Gothoria held by the drow. Mathias and Allera came into town soon after and as everyone was preparing for their trip down into the Pits Rakhir went and talked to the guard outside of Miko's House. The guard said he heard something inside awhile back. Rakhir went in to investigate. Inside he found the chest opened that held the Elemental Stones and beside it a large hole in the ground that has been collapsed to keep anyone from entering it. Rakhir went outside to tell the guard what had happened. The guard said that he should talk to the Wizard Lovic inside The Broken Bow. He might know what to do next. Rakhir went and talked to Lovic and he mentioned that the only place that he would know of that the drow would take the Stones would be their Tower of Yakri deep in drow territory. How Lovic knew this no one knows. Rakhir told the others what had happened so they all began their decent into the underground. Fortunately, the Callidyrr Soldiers were already down there fighting the drow. They helped them on many occasions, but there were still times where they had to fend for themselves. After many battles they found themselves looking at the Tower of Yakri. They entered with one of the Soldiers from Callidyrr who helped them greatly as they climbed their way up to the third floor of the tower. They had to reach the fourth floor of the tower in order to find the missing Elemental Stones. Lovic mentioned a secret door for them to find, but it took them many hours before they finally found it. At this moment the game session ended and will begin from this point in the next game session.

It started off with Rose, Allera, and Rakhir on the third floor of the Tower of Yakri. They found the secret door that led them to the fourth floor and to the stones. Fortunately, the Callydirr Solder that was with them went down to the base of the tower and got help from the Captain. Everyone went in and fought 3 high mages and 2 high priestess. The battle was long and bloody, but in the end there were no casualties on the good side. After retrieving all four of the Elemental Stones everyone went back to town to resupply and re-equip themselves and head down to the labyrinth. They met some opposition, but they were able to handle most of it with some help from the soldiers within. When they got to the Labyrinth door Rakhir heard some noise behind him. It was a group of six dark elves. One of the ladies in dark robes said, "We do not wish to fight right now. Just let us through and in the Labyrinth." They then went past and through the door. A moment later Rakhir heard some more noise behind him. It was a group of mercenaries led by a man named Bartholemew. The mercenaries seemed to be human Shadowblades that have left their leader to follow Bartholomew. And as the group before them they just wanted through the door and in the Labyrinth. Then yet again, Rakhir heard some more noise behind him. It was the undead Duke Drakhan, and he said looking at Rose, "Next time you knock me down you may want to bless my corpse." followed by a hideous laughter. He said, "I do not need a group I will raise my followers as I need them." Then on he went inside with the others. Inside were four pedestals for each of the Elemental Stones. One by one, Rose put the stone in the correct pedestal and one by one a door opened to the stairs leading into the labyrinth. With that done one of the dark elves said, "If I know correctly, the Labyrinth will take each consecutive group and put them in a different area of the labyrinth. So I'm sure we won't start out at the same spot but we'll see each other somewhere." Soon after the game session ended.

I think by far this is one of the best game sessions in the Heartstone Saga. Everyone was able to work together and contribute in the groups success in each level of the Labyrinth. Rose, Rakhir, Allera, Arsenia, and Mathais started out in the Labyrinth Foyer. Then after a brief conversation with Bartholemew who led the mercenaries they headed down to the first level of the Labyrinth. Level one was a lot of teleportations and spinning in circles looking for the correct stairs that was hidden. Fortunately, Arsenia was able to find the secret door that led down to the next level. Level two was a chess board where the group had to follow the correct path across it or face somekind of painful trap. Luckily, I think Rakhir was able to figure out this one. Level three was an invisible maze. Everyone was teleported here or there and they had to feel along the walls. It didn't take them too long before they were able to find their way around to the exit. Level four might of been a bit more difficult, but fortunately Rose was very good at numbers and figured out the number riddle and which doors to open in what order. At the end of the fourth level going down the stairs to the fifth level the group encountered the mercenaries. Three people fell but in the end it was Bart and his mercenary followers that all fell to the ground. Level Five was a scary one at the least for it led to a room full of gas and an elemental that held the key to the exit. The gas got three people and put another unconcious. Guess they couldn't hold their breath long enough. Though Mathais found a safe place that had some clean air and fought off the elemental and got the key to turn off the gas trap. After the gas chamber they entered into another area that is a maze of spike and flame traps. Where the group called it a night. It was a very exciting game night for everyone with so much at stake.

| Actually, it was Alléra who figured it out first. Rose just agreed, then took the keys (and the blame if the answer was wrong), and led the way out.

Well things went pretty well except at one point where NWN encountered an error and shutdown on me twice in a row. Then at the end the module loaded up the wrong module to start chapter 6. Though it was late and was time to stop anyways. We last left our fellow adventurers, Rose, Rakhir, Mathais, Allera and Arsenia on the 5th floor of the Labyrinth. They were in a maze of traps with a few monsters here and there. It took them a bit, but they finally found their way out to the 6th floor. On the 6th floor they had to find a way to open the door out of a room and across a bridge. While they searched on how to open the door an undead came running towards them saying that he was a friend. After about killing him they stopped and asked who he was. He said that he was Miko Tasheka and that Duke Drakahn was controlling him and he managed to regain control for a few moments. He helped the group find a pressure plate that opens one of the doors. Then they killed him and soon after the rest of the undead came through the door attacking. After defeating the Duke and his undead minions. Allera figured out that as you step on a pressure plate it opens a door. Then as you step off the pressure plate it closes the door. Though after going through a door a fire elemental is summoned into the room. So they sent Mathais to go through the doors while the rest of the team stayed back and fought the elementals and opened the doors for Mathais hoping there was a switch at the end that opened all the doors which there was. Once they all got through there were some steps leading to the final level. There they saw the drow fighting over the Heartstone which made it very easy to make short work of the final Drow and to claim the Heartstone as their own. Out of the Labyrinth they met a Bronze Dragon who was grateful for what they have accomplished and said that if they ever needed his help on their journey across the Trackless Sea to just call his name. When they got back to town the Captain met them near the gate and said to resupply themselves and get ready to board a boat out on the docks that will take them to where they need to go next to either protect or to destroy the Heartstone.
