Amia Island, A Role Playing Gateway

IC Introduction:

Traveller,

Your vessel sails towards the Island of Amia, an island full of mysterious adventure and intrigue amidst a wide variety of cultures, geographical locations and a plethora of compelling reasons to travel upon our lands.

Whatever your interest may be within reason, we can provide. For the Scholar, there is the Monolith of Mystra on Ruathym isle, the Living City of Tarkuul and the Triumvir, a place of learning for those of more Bardic Inclination. For the Warrior one can find amongst many of our locales a variety of challenges to face or test oneself. The Skull Crags, the cold islands of Brogdenstein, the Forests of Amia, and the cold arctic like lands of the Frozenfar and Howness all provide great and potent challenges to test one's mettle against their foes.

For the Religious, there are many a places where one might make Pilgramage on our island. The Holy City of Kohlingen houses a shrine to Bahamut, and a temple dedicated to the Triad. In the region of Nes'ek, Temples of Lathander and Hoar as well as a Cathedral dedicated to Kelemvor might be found, if one of those faiths suits. A large complex dedicated to the goddess Salandra can be found in the Benwick Hollow region of our isle, and even Eilistraee holds a shrine.

Do not be alarmed by the reports of the Underdark being more actively exposed to this region, for as well resides an Elven city known as Winya Ravana, as well as a Dwarf Citadel known as Barak Runedar within our region, so those of you who hail from similar settlements can find a piece of home not far away, and for the Halfing and Gnomish peoples Bendir Dale is but a Cart ride away from Cordor. Even a part of Mulhorand, the Khem region is but a portal's travel away.

And, good sir or madam, should you be of more Merchantile bent, you need look no further then Cordor, the City of Trade. With it's many shops and connections to lands beyond and nearby, Cordor can provide anyone of any walk of life with a fresh start and a clean chance to become what it is they wish.

Upon arrival to our lands, if this is your first time traveling to our region please disembark at Cordor and follow the directions of your friendly Commonwealth Guardsmen to the Temple of Waukeen where your Amia experience might begin.

Happy Travels,

Rufus Oaksmith,
Ministry of Finance, Trade and Commerce, Information Division
Commonwealth of Cordor
