If they were going to add mp, FW, they would have done so when they released the game. I had thought about getting this game, but then it would be something my wife and I couldn't enjoy together so I think I'll pass. Besides, I have enough single player games without adding another one.

Dragon Age was a good SP game, probably the best I've played since Baldur's Gate 2, although I have to admit I didn't finish it. Now, Mass Effect 2, on the other hand, I ran that one through the end, and then immediately started another playthrough, which I almost never do. Unfortunately the premature death of my Xbox via the dreaded Red Rings of Doom put an end to that playthrough, at least for a few weeks. I also just finished Bioshock 2 and enjoyed it, but probably won't go into it again; it doesn't seem like it has a lot of replay value. I think for single-player I'm leaning more toward action than RP. Inventory management and constantly pausing to issue orders to my team takes me out of the game, especially after so many years of playing no-pause MP NWN. I think that's why ME2 caught me up and DA didn't. There is a pause in ME2 but it's so fast that it doesn't interrupt the action.

Ya, I agree with you on that about the constant pausing and inventory management on Dragon Age compared to Mass Effect 2 on the 360. Also another thing I like about Mass Effect over Dragon Age was that I was able to get 50 achievements (which is all of them except for one) just through one play through of Mass Effect. Though in Dragon Age you have to do multiple play throughs to get most of the achievements.

LB, I'm pretty sure Baldur's Gate 2 was Multi-player. I remember playing BG2 in MP. Or am I stroking out?

It's a pity they didn't make DOA allow for MP like the in the BG series and NWN2. DOA is such a long game and a good setting, it would have made it a lot more re-playable than it already is, and it would gave been fun to see different people's take on the races and such (since it's so different to FR and in some ways harsher). Perhaps they'll do something like that in expansion packs or DA2.
