Hello all, I've been role-playing for the last 6-7 years now and been mostly dealing with persistent worlds. While enjoyable to a sense, I've always hosted a few private modules for friends and the like and found the most enjoyment out of that.
Finally, I looked up how one would go about hosting one of these to other players that enjoy the same - so I found this place.
My main concern right now, is where would I post or what would I do to advertise and discuss the campaign I wish to host? I think it's always best to talk over character concepts and mix them into the world as a compromise between DM and player - especially for new settings, like mine.
Player Connection forum, is the place to advertise your games and campaigns. You can look at past postings to get an idea of what sort of things people typically include. You can discuss and answer questions related to your game within your thread there. Given the timezone differences and variety of folks schedules, you may want to list several potential time frames and see which one draws the most interest from prospective players. Once you've finalized on a time, you can create an event in the scheduling calender and post a link in your thread.
