Heh, cute. A sarcastic side swipe at town planners everywhere, after all they did give us Telford. 
Not that I'd need any help generating outlandish names for towns. I'm English and all you have to do is look at a map for inspiration, pick a name .... and then tone the result down a notch so it looks vaguely believable.
Edit: I like the quote of the day on the home page too.
Making your own leg (Lesson 17)
Wrap the tarnished crepe paper carefully around the hollowed lamp stand, making sure that all the creases are together. On each turn, gradually slide the red iron wiring loop into place (if the thread is lost, return to lesson 14, NOW!) If the paper expires before the loop is solid, replace the stand on its stand and stand back. Begin again if it doesn't work properly after a while.
In the next lesson we shall need the filing (crud) we saved from the shavings in lesson 11, be sure to have them dried as per the needle test.
