You will be starting at 2nd lvl and given 900 gp as initial starting money. A starting merchant will be available for equipping OOC prior to the adventure. Appraisal skill will NOT affect these transactions as prices will be set so you can freely buy/sell without any loss, should you reconsider an initial purchase. Tailoring models will be available in the OOC area where you can opt to alter the appearance and color of your arms and armor for a minor fee. Languages will be implemented and you may opt to start with extra languages due to high INT in addition to racial and class awarded ones.

Other additions include... Gold has weight. Every 300 coins is turned into a 5.5 lb sack which can be used to convert back to standard gold as needed. Sacks can be dropped or given to others. Moneychangers are available to trade gold for less bulky and more valuable coins or trade tokens, though you have to pay a 10% commission on such transaction. Customized wandering monster encounter tables have been added to wilderness and uninhabited road areas. These are based on the original pnp tables with reduced encounter rates, so you'll only likely hit one if you loiter for some time in an area. Revamping of available henchmen to make them more useful and survivable. As mentioned, CEP 2.2 has been added to expand the range of creatures and heads available. note: actually we'll be using 2.3. If you use the cep updater, you'll be automatically patched up to the current version from whatever flavor of 2.x you initially installed. Karvon

I tried the updater, can't tell if its working. I suppose it's not, I need 2.3 files to make my character, again. I'll just download off the link you sent, to 2.3 full version. See you soon. Mac

also make sure to run the updater after you DL the posted version, as the posted version is NOT the most current one, merely the initial release of 2.3. Karvon

Sorry folks, I'll be missing the second session, Jan 24th. My cousin is coming to town this weekend and I won't be able to log on, we'll be out of the house. I hope you don't get yourselves into too sticky a situation, one where you need a fighters brawn. Rest assured, I'll be available for the next session to clean up any loose ends. Mac

Always appreciate a heads up if you're going to miss. We'll assume you wandered off and got drunk and were sleeping it off while the others carried on. Depending on how far they get, we'll work out how you rejoin them. Updates and additions I've added in PHB movement restrictions for wearing armor and race, so dwarves, gnomes and halflings will be naturally a little slower, and those wearing med or hvy armor will go slower as well. I've added some more NPCs to the tavern to make it less empty and added more places to sit for RP purposes. Added a blackjack dealer to the tavern for those with a gambling itch. Added a MP dice gambling game, if you are inclined to play amongst yourselves. No NPC scripting for this unfortunately. Added a dye merchant in the lounge you can use to change cloak colors, since tailoring dummies don't do cloaks. You could use those for other clothing/armor if you wish, but it's cheaper to use the tailoring dummies. A few other behind the scenes tweaks and additions. Karvon

If one of you could mail me a copy of the last session log, I'll edit and post it later. Lost mine when my DM client machine crashed near the end of the session. Thanks Karvon karvon.nwn@gmail.com

Apologies for some of the tech glitches we experienced this past session. I will review and adjust scripts in light of what happened to, hopefully, minimize the reoccurrence of such problems.

Definitely will keep going, just a question of how some areas will be portrayed. Worst case, we roll back to the original mod area ATs, and I add a few more additional areas to make it feel more roomy in a few regions which I felt were a bit sparse.

Well... the random areas just proved a little buggy, even when I did get everything hooked up right, so I've pulled those and built a few more areas to fill out those regions I felt were a bit too small. I also scaled back the rate of BESIE encounters a little bit in most areas. Karvon

As mentioned in game, we will NOT being playing next week due to my ISP doing some system upgrade/overhaul/whatnot, so our next session will be in two weeks. Thus, you have plenty of time to RP and discuss your options and ideas between now and then. Karvon

Well, we have two drops and one person not able to make this week. That leaves three of us, I think. Hopefully a fighter, cleric and rogue can handle frog hunting. I do enjoy your campaigns Karvon and look forward to what you have in store for us. Mac
