Hello guys, I have finshed a tileset project: the NWNCQ HAK & OVERRIDE now in V1.1 This project try to lower as much as possible the graphical gap between NWN1 and NWN2's tilessets. Retexturing, pseudo bloom, pseudo Bumpmapping, aminated lights effects, increased poly, and tileset build-in pseudo random model generator are the tools i use to try to reach that goal. I have replaced nearly all the build-in bioware tiles sets. For players NWNCQ Version 1.1 comes in a all-in-one OVERRIDE. This Version 1.1 has been done to be fully compatible with all PW and SP modules with the help of community's players, Pw admins and SP module authors, it will improve all OC, module or PW you play in, and will not be intrusive. For builders NWNCQ Version 1.1 comes in a all-in-one full-features HAK pack, to bring an all new feeling in the worlds you build. Have you tested it with CEP compilation tilesets or any of the others that provide additional tiles for the standard Bioware ones? I'm thinking the rolling hills ones and the like. I like the sound of this very much, but if it results in a patchy appearance, or loss of some of the unique features of those tiles, then it might not be as worthwhile.

The main issue that seems to come up with this package and any large override is server lag and crashes due to conflicting communications between server and client which can create cumulative or cascading detrimental effects. If you are a player you should probably check with your DM/host before using large overrides, as the performance hit on lower end servers can be quite severe. Many of us host games on our personal desktops. Questions to the creator should probably be posted to one of his above links.

hi friends, NWNCQ is compatible with CEP. Hard to check all other community tilessets, but when there is a problem i make hotfixs like when NWNCQ has textures issues with Worms's fabulous tilessets. (put his hat off for the master worms) for override preformance problems, NWNCQ override v1.1 only use *.mdl and *.tga, no 2da or even wok, so the transactions with the client and the serveur are not altered, so no problems with lowend servers perfs. in fact we use it my friends and me for years without problems, but all feedback on bugs are needed to improve NWNCQ On top of that override-tgas are faster than hak-dds because dds need unpack. As NWNCQ as more poly you may see lower FPS client side, never server side lags, and as it works perfectly on my old 8 years old PC i guess it should be good on nearly all PCs nevertheless, NWNCQ is a gift for the community, and every one can choose to use it or not, and you're right, ask your PW admin before using NWNCQ, to seen if he allow you to use overrides have fun friends ^^
