After taking a ride on the DMFI 101 module, tinkering around for a couple hours on the DM mode with a friend and finding a good DMFI module one-shot game, I have decided to dip my toe into the waters of DMing. I am experienced at DMing the pen and paper, so here's to hoping I do well here!
Oh, also, I won't be alone on my quest, as I am dragging someone else through the mud on an epic journey of DMing! I will need three to five players and there is no time set in stone at the moment, though I am EST and my co-DM is CST, and we're pretty open when it comes to the time business.
Just so you can plan your characters out ahead of time, the starting level is 3-4 (depends on how many players) all core races are fine and alignment is dependent on the party. You want to be evil?! Go for it. Only rule is you've got to work together. Go easy on me. Please?

Little backstory to go for here.
First off, you're all basically just gotten through your first adventure, got your shinies, ect. You're still wet behind the ears really, but whether or not your previous victory has emboldened you at all (or beyond) is up to you.
You won't be given money to buy from a selection of items... too blah. Instead, when you've been accepted and all, you will tell us about your character and we shall provide you some equipment. If you want a custom outfit, we'll take what you send us, look it over to make sure it's normal (I'm looking at some of you who try to sneak stuff under the radar), and if approved, slide it in. But that's just for outfits. Armor, Weaponry, Ect. will be made and given by us.
We will, upon start, give some money to buy misc items, such as potions and scrolls.
All in all, that's about it.

Not yet, figure we'd let the players figure out a time and come to us as we're pretty much open. Evenings/Nights on weekdays, all day on weekends.

Mmk, I can narrow down a list of times that we're available and we can start from there. These are EST:
- After 6pm on weekdays.
- Any time on Friday and Saturday
-Sunday afternoons (around 2:30-3pm and later)

Any of those times work for me at the moment, though I would prefer it not be on friday or saturday as I'm usually busy with real life things then. I could make time for the game on those days of course, but I would prefer not to.
Any other day of the week works for me, I'm usually available during the week in the afternoon to the wee hours of the night.

I'd be interested in playing if the game ended up on a day compatible with my schedule. Can't do Monday/ Wednesday/ Thursday, but I can work with most other time slots.

Hmm... a day of silence; it seems the initial outpouring of interest is four people.
So, provided that there is no shooing me away in the near future, is there a specific campaign setting that you guys were going to use?

As far as I know, no.
We're going to run a short thing to get us into it, and see if the party likes us and each other enough to continue, then go from there. We'll probably do Forgotten Realms at first... but you know all the worlds are connected. Seriously, I know for a fact, at least, that Greyhawk has connected with Planescape, which has connected to Forgotten Realms... and who knows where else? Plus what other 'planar' traversing things might happen.

Forgotten Realms is certainly a favorite setting of mine, and honestly the one I know the most about. Four players are enough to do the standard sort of party though. But the more the merrier, no?

I figure that once the actual game pops up on the front page that there will be more people signing up for it (hopefully). And I agree on Forgotten Realms, it's the setting I am most knowledgeable on (aside from Dark Sun, but NWN doesn't like Dark Sun too much, that's another story entirely).
I'm thinking FR, but if anyone wants Greyhawk, that's fine.

PS: you need to fix the level range for the posting; you've got it listed as 3rd to 1st, rather than 1st to 3rd. It's causing an error when you try to sign up.
