For Rizzen and Gilaun - Bug FORUM Summary

Per Rizzen's Request, I will summarize my "Bug Forum" findings here. Rather than 'bundle' them, I'll enter a post for each item. That way you can "quote" and update, as well as delete any post or thread that is no longer current and/or fixed.

I will do the same activity for the threads in the Help/Suggestions Forum, as well as the log of notes that I have kept outside of this process. It may be ugly at first, but I think we'll chop this into manageable pieces very quickly.

Keep me in the loop and I will do likewise for you.

SUMMARY: Was originally thought to be a cluster issue.

JD NOTE: This time there's no viewable difference in the URLs - but I periodically 'lose sight' my campaign forums and am asked to sign in when I attempt to access an 'Members Area' of the site (like messages, etc.). My mentees have reported similar problems when trying to access their messages.

SUMMARY: Issue seems to step from the Levels dictated by the game scheduler.

JD NOTE: Asked Gilaun to verify if this was fixed.

GILAUN UPDATE: Ok, almost all of the issues you have summorized appear to be coding issues. Rizzen gets to deal with those, as I don’t have the skill, and it’s his code. :-)

This is definately the case with the character level issue. We haven’t heard from anyone else for a while, but it wasn’t that common a problem either. We will have to ask Rizzen if he fixed the code.

SUMMARY:What a crummy defect. What testing pinhead did this?
The elements that are current/relevant:

- In the scheduling template, the button to "Clear List" for DMs didn't respond
- Adding co-DMs to the campaign page doesn't seem to do anything. I still had to add all those folks to my Buddy List to select them as DMs.
- There is no error or sign that tells you that a name is NOT found when you attempt (incorrectly) to add them to the aforementioned co-DM list.

Now the time issue. You last posted on April 6 that you still had time flakiness. The topic has been dormant for over a month. Does that mean it’s fixed? I don’t know for sure. I haven’t found the bug and squashed it.

SUMMARY: If a Game Thread is created from the GAME PAGE, it is viewable from the GAME PAGE and the GAME FORUM. If the Game Thread is created from the GAME FORUM, it is only viewable at the GAME FORUM.

JD Update: Talondale reported this happened from the Game Forum as well. Will need to dig a bit deeper.
