Its been a long time comming but I think this latest pack is one of my favorites to date. I had to split the pack in two to get it on the mirror site but at least its available for download. Get it while its hot

This latest addition brings the total number of portraits to over 1,200. If you are like me and you like to have all your portraits in your NWN directory you should expect a 20 to 45 second lag at character creation. It just takes NWN a little extra time to load all those thumbnails but after char creation you should not experience performance issues in game.
I am strongly encouraging people to make use of an excellent (and most importantly) free program called Imagewalker. It will allow you to view any targa files on your HD in a thumbnail format, displaying the file name immediately below image. This makes it very easy to locate specific files, remove unwanted portraits, and (for those who wish to) to move portraits into the NWN directory on an as needed basis. This is especially usefull for NWC DMs who want to run campaigns using custom portraits but don’t want to ask there players to download all the packs. Give it a shot, it’s really quite handy.
ALso if anyone is interested in hosting these files please contact me. I am willing to dish out a few bucks to keep these portraits availible to the community.
One last thing (and this one is long overdue) I have compiled a list of all the artists who have “contributed" to this portrait collection. Credit where credit is due.

You guys all Rock! (I probably forgot somebody, so keep your eye out for an update. Feel free to remind me if you noticed that I left someone out)
Also a big shot out to Dragonlord for helping to make these latest packs possible. Hope you guys enjoy the portraits!
for some reason the links don't seem to work? Regardless, thanks for the pointer on ImageWalker. Been looking for a free program along those lines. Hope it will convert into jpeg so I can post for my characters on NWC too!
Lastly, quick question - although I suspect I know the answer. I have your other packs (or at least some of them) - and there are indeed a TON of pics. For the non-custom pics, you only see half of them (guy or gal, depending on character sex) as portrait options. Is there any way to code the custom pics so they work the same way, to reduce the number to look through? If not (which I think is the answer at this point) no biggie, and regardless your work is much appreciated!
I usually end up running into bandwith issues towards the end of the month so that might have something to do with it. I'll try to set up my own hosting in the next few weeks. (Maybe then I can get rid of those anoying symbols that keep breaking these links on the NWC boards.) Any suggestions on a relatively affordable web host?
About the chaotic order of the pics, that was really just poor planning on my part. I should have adopted a more consistant naming convention from the outset. I have actually thought of renaming the files to make use of the NWN filters, but so many people already have the portraits I'm not sure it would be worth it at this point. The only way I could justify the grunt work necessary to rename all the files is if someone could write a program for me that would convert the old names to the new ones. Unfortunatly I don't know anyone with those skills. But if anyone does know someone who might be able to help that would certainly be something I would consider persuing.
Hope those alternates work. Sorry for the lag time on the response... I was at the Comic Con in S.D. Let me know if you guys run into any more problems.
If you guys still cant get the links to work I'd be happy to mail you a CD. Just let me know
Okay. I downloaded Part 1 and am working on part 2. I downloaded into my NWN Portraits Directory. I tried opening the file to complete installation but could not identify the file. Is there something else I need to do?
I think that is your difficulty. WinRar is widely used by the NWN community and is replacing WinZip as the compression program of choice, so its a good application to have. Once you decompress/extract the files in the location you select you should be able to go into a folder with a number of .tga files. Put those into your nwn portraits directory. After that it should all be gravy.
Let me know if that solves your problem
On an unrelated note, it was my great pleasure to speak at length with Gerald Brom at this years Comic Con in San Diego. After discussing fantasy portraiture for a while I shamelessly thrusted some of my own feeble drawings at one of the industries great masters... for a bit of constructive criticism. I got a grinning response of "its twisted" and "let me know when you paint some of your stuff and I'll talk to some people at Paper Tiger for you." Needless to say I was very pleased. Anyhow we got on the topic of NWN and I explained the project I've been working on. He thought the idea was cool and told me he'd send over the new book he's been working on once its published. It promises 80 new portraits which are sure to rock.
Just thought our fantasy art fans might dig the heads up.
Black Elk, Thanks for your patience and assistance. I finally got it! I only had WinZip, so that was the problem. Now, I have tons of awesome pics for NWN!
One more question, Are Part 1-4 included in the 5.1 and 5.2 downloads, or are there more great pics to download?
Congrats on Comic Con. I would have loved to be there for the "big announcement!"
Also, Gruush, thanks for the tip on the portrait manager. I love it!
