The fourth son of a farmer, Gord was "donated" to a local temple of Pelor. The temple offered shelter and security for many of the unwanted boys of this poor valley. Gord was put to work in the temple gardens and was trained in the way and worship of Pelor the sun god and the ways of self defence. At the age 18 he was offered the choice of becoming an iniate of the temple or of taking a quest to further the goals of Pelor. After a night and a day of contemplation, Gord chose to carry the light of Pelor to the dark world outside.
