Grew up in the neigbouring country. Studied magic in the capital. Parents were upper class merchants, traded in cloth and luxury goods. Only sibling a 2 year younger sister named Calera. When Shalamars apprenticeship was nearing it's end Calera was brutally murdered by a young man who had broken into Shalamars study to steal his spellbook. Devestated Shalamar left his family to search for this murderer. When asked about what clues he has to follow, if anyone saw anything, what the authorities did about it and so on, Shalamar becomes quite vague sometimes even angered when pressed on this matter. However it seems like he is searching for another wizard about his own age, possibly one of his apprentice collegues.
