Not long after he was born, his family was slaughtered in a drow raid. He was taken in by a tribe of Moon elves how raised him and gave him a name, Vanwa'er, which translates in to "The Lost One". He never knew his true name. Throughout the many years he has lived with the moon elves, he has learned all he could about magic and the world around him, but always his heart has wondered about the life he lost. THe life that could have been. The life of his dead family.
