From the icy cold mountains in the highest north - known as the Spine of the World - comes a breed of savage tribesmen. They are the Uthgardt, descendants of Uthgar, the legendary warrior who ascended to divinity on his deathbed and now guides his proud children from beyond the stars. Among the many tribes that where founded on the totems of Uthgar, are those of the Black Lion.
Freja Vildrose is the daughter of a Black Lion warrior, Thorgal Jernhånd, who fell in battle against the agressively expanding colonies in the northern territories. While her father and the other warriors of the tribe where strong and brave, swords and furcoats offers no match for the crossbows and metal armor of cowards, and eventually the last survivors of the tribe where forced to flee the lands, leaving the ancestor mound of their great founder and god.
With little more than her father's greatsword and the equipment she wore, Freja descended from the cold mountains in search for a new life; to honour her father and the totem of the Black Lion.
In everything she does, Freja follows her heart to the fullest. She believes that her father's spirit and that of Uthgar visits her in dreams, guiding her steps on the perilous trail of life. Her flaming personality and lack of "civilized" manners may appear savage to most, but she is innocent in her ignorance. She holds a strong grudge towards the Neverwinter militia and whoever may be unlucky to resemble them. She also has a strong fear of arcane magic - something the Uthgardt have only experienced from the hands of evil.
