Magin Tombshadows
At his birth, Magin's parents were unsure whether to slay their child immediately or to smother him with loving affection. You see, magin was an extremely charming baby with a bautiful smile, but he was, well, to put it bluntly, grey. Like deathly grey. With a shock of black hair to match, Magin was not your average child. regardless his parents decided that killing such a child, any child, was an evil deed and they raised him with the best love and care that any parents could give. While villagers in the remote province shunned Magin at first, they soon came to realise that he was as pure of heart as any and his smile was hard to resist. Then in his teenage years, even stranger things started happening. Random black clouds blanketing the house. A vampire bat companion that could speak to him in his mind. Sickly red fire dancing on his fingertips. The ability to see clearly in pitch black night. He could make shadows dance about. And most bizarre of all....he could make small dead animals, and insects move in a twisted parody of life. Magin went to see the local village wizard, a dabbler in the arts, but hopefully one that would be able to provide more insight into Magin's strange powers. Already supsicious of Magin's unusual looks, the wizard surreptiously tried to divine the nature of Magin's curse. What he was able to reveal almost struck him mad on the spot-Magin's powers were inspired by the workings of some dark deity, of unknown origin. It seemed that this black god chose to play havoc with Magin's soul by tempting him to use his necromantic powers in evil's name. With a newfound respect (more out of fear), the wizard informed Magin of his curse and bade him to leave quickly. Confronted with his nature, Magin resolved that he would not fall temptation to use his powers for evil's gain and vowed that he would be a champion for good. Telling his parents of his plan, he made preparations to seek out other fighters of injustice in his cause. He had to leave quickly for the village wizard's dire news was sure to spread and Magin didn't want his parents to face the wrath of an ignorant peaseant mob. Magin summoned his only true loyal friend, Nighthaunt, flashed his parents one last brilliant smile and made his way into the night.
