Cora believes that she has a draconic ancestor. A tale she learned from her mother, that a copper dragon had assumed the form of a female human and bred the matron of their line.
"Not every child shows the mark of the copper dragon", says her, mother, "always it is girls."
It is not immediately obvious that Cora would have draconic blood. Although her looks could be a hint. With bright coppery red hair and bright green eyes that sometimes seem to dance and flash, she has an intense look.
She has a gifted voice and charming looks, the life of a bard fits her well. There is that odd flash in her eye and for a bard her magic seems most potent. Another sign of the dragon's blood? Or just a gift common to those with innate magical talent?
Many a bard and sorcer claim a draconic ancestor as the reason for their innate talents. In Cora's case, maybe the ancestor is closer then most.
It is part of this mystery that makes her such a potent enterainer. Changing her last name to indicate her belief she tours about finding work where she goes. Lately she has found the calling of her innate magic and finds she must express it. For this she practice and adventures, lending her magic to those with swords and writing songs, ballads, and tales of the exploits.
