Maya grew up in the wilderness with her tribe. Obeying the elders of the tribe never came easy for Maya who constantly questioned the elders decisions at every turn. In the tribe she became know as a troublemaker hence the nickname "Stormbringer". After a serious dispute with the chieftain about the leadership she became an outcast and wandered off in to the world. She soon found herself in the more civilized areas of the world where she found some good friends. She has great respect for those who can master the art of reading, writing and counting. Maya can do neither of those. She is quite intelligent however and is a quick learner.
