Whipple Bunderstuck is a grumpy gnome wizard, with an eye-patch over one eye. Thinking it to be his calling because of his name, Whipple ("Whip" for short) thought it would be fashionable if he learned how to use a whip in his younger days. Unfortunately, Whipple's hand-eye coordination has never been the greatest, so he took out an eye in the process of learning to use the whip. Whipple has always been the butt of jokes from others, because of his clumsy and frail nature. Seeking to prove his worth, Whipple turned to magic. He now makes his way through the world, still a somewhat angry, sharp-tongued fellow with a point to prove. Although not always likeable, Whipple is good-aligned and his heart is in the right place, even if his caustic nature can hide it at times.
