The warm rays of the sun woke her up slowly, as the dreams of happy days long gone quickly fade away melting into the harsh reality of the moment.
She still smiles, though it's but a shadow of her smile from a few years ago. Her eyes seem tired, as if weary from all the things she has seen. And if she closes them, flashes of horrific images from her past come crashing down on her - half-orcs, screams, the evil eyes of the wizard, his laughter, his touch...
Tears come running down her cheek, but she quickly wipes them off and looks up, as if seeking help from the incoming sunrays.
As night falls, her face changes. Her eyes seem mutated almost, and their compassion and sadness is replaced with a strong evil thirst for life. Perhaps even someone else's life.
She laughs a lot during the night, and vanishes without a trace for long periods of time.
Her voice remains the same, yet the words change drastically. Venom seems to reek from their very core, and she seems to enjoy them immensely.
If during the day, she shies away from conflict and even actual battle, during the night, Raven takes great enjoyment in the dark magic she summons, and in the lethal blows she can deliver.
But once darkness vanishes away, the hours of the morning wash away any trace of the poisonous tongue and the cunning gaze, Raven becoming once again the calm, melancholic wreck of her own past.
