Mune the Mauge
Mune the Mauge (no, not mage, as he practices "Maugery". No one is sure if it's just that he's mispronouncing it or not.) He's a chiurgeon/necromancer, basically a cleric with wizard leanings. He's eccentric to an extreme, but he's a skilled surgeon and history buff (to chronicle the party's deeds, and if you'll allow it in game, to be in charge of sending message ravens (like carrier pigeons) if the party is allotted any). As such, they put up with his foibles. If you know _The Black Company_, he'll be played with a little of the Goblin/One-Eye bent (magic isn't by-the-book tactics, more of a 'dirty trick'), a little Croaker. If wanted, he can make it a shtick to occasionally read a short selection from the Chronicles of Opal. Usually something inspiring (although his idea of 'inspiring' is unconventional) and with some context to the brigade's current challenges.
