Tarridus Danias

..There was only darkness...then a door opened up and I saw someone calling to me come forward and so I did...and where I found myself would change everything...

It happened one night, while studying in his private quarters, a young monk known only as Tarridus heard his voice being called by his fellow scholars and went to search out them out. Strangely, the voice seemed to travel through the air and Tarridus found himself outside the large librarium into the bitter cold and savage furies of the lightning storm tormenting mother nature. Still hearing the voice calling to him, he followed it into the nearby woods where the voice strangely changed to that of a motherly females and upon finding a clearing at the edge of the wood, Tarridus found a solitary woman standing dry even in the storm.

"Ahh it is nice to finally see you again my child. It has been so long since I saw you last...my dear Tarridus" she said with a smile that strangely warmed his very heart.

"Who are you and how do you know my name?" was the only thing he could mutter as his teeth rattled because of the pouring rain.

"I am...part of you Tarridus, you are my child and it has been so long..." was all that she would say before turning away obviously hurt by her own words.

Tarridus' eyes widened at her words, "Impossible.......my parents disappeared when I was just a baby..." he managed to say above the howling thunder.

The woman could only nod and weakly smile, "Yes...it was our fate to leave this land and enter another..but I had to see you again...if only for an instant..." her voice trailing off as she looked away while shedding a tear.

Suddenly a flash of light appeared almost blinding Tarridus and when he had opened them a second later, a portal was seen near the woman. She turned to enter and stopped, turned her head back to him and smiled one more time and Tarridus heard a voice in his head, "Man your destiny find you along the way my Son, where all things converge..." and then she turned to enter the portal and dissapeared through it.

The portal remained a few moments more and without thinking, Tarridus ran after her and entered the portal just as it was closing. The young monk only saw darkness next but heard a voice again in this strange and empty place, "YOU WERE NOT MEANT TO ENTER HERE..the planes are not yours to journey....YET..." it said in a fluxtuating voice. And then a doorway opened and Tarridus say a hand beckoning him to enter. And so Tarridus did, and his journey would begin...
