Petrus Rodrigo Navarro
Petrus was born in the port city of Pere to poor, but God-fearing parents. His family was a large one, and he was one of the older children, always finding himself taking care of his brothers and sisters. He was compassionate even as a child, and it was his mother Rosa's dream for him to become a priest. He grew up a strong lad, with the labor of upkeeping his family providing more than enough exercise.
When time came for him to be enlisted in the war against the orcs, he was already an initiate in the local monestary. Though he had not been gifted with divine power yet, he had been trained in the arts of medicine, and so was brought into battle as a healer. His faith was sorely tested during that time, but it held together, and came to a climax when he could not stop a soldier's bleeding, and through prayer, channeled divine power to magically heal for the first time.
Eventually, he became weary with the war, and his officers, seeing the fatigue in the man, still a boy really, sent him back to the monestary. There, the curch leaders decided he should get away from the place of his pain, and sent him on a missionary quest to convert the people of Genaltus.
However, once arriving, and hearing of the troubles on the island, Petrus finds his faith sorely tested once again...
