His white beard and whiter bushy eyebrows might deceive one: Lucsian is not as old as he seems; and yet, paradoxically, he is. Blooming in the youth of a life not three-quarters of a century old, Lucsian looks -- and acts -- as if he were much older than his peers. Perhaps the result of a life devouted to dusty old tomes, perhaps the natural development of a precocious spirit, Lucsian has gained, in such a short time, the reputation of a wise and moderate dwarf (for the dwarvish parameters, at any rate), and can always be counted on for some suitable, pondered advice.
