Annathea Bjorndottir

Annathéa, born from a female human and a dark elf father - or at least that's what she thinks - has a greyish tan to her skin. She was found in the arms of her dying mother in a forest by a northern warrior, Bjorn. Later, this warrior became blacksmith in a coastal village of the Sword Coast and raised Annathéa as daughter and apprentice. She learned the sword and the shield, and the craft of smithing. Her hands and shoulders are somewhat large and two scars - not tatoos - on both her arms in shape of snakes are a puzzle to her. One day, a merchant who accidentally saw her scars told her he saw the same, on a ship en route to an new island, on the arms of a dark-skinned elf. With the blessing of her father, Annathea decided to go in search of her past and bought her passage to this island, but strange events occured to her before... Lately, before having the time to be embarked on the ship to the island at the crowded docks in Neverwinter, Annathea walked into a mist in the yard of a tavern and was transporter in the world of Ravenloft, where she was forced to serve the great lich-wizard Zanthors on many quests for exotic objects. She brought to him, finally, a artifact called the eye of Osiris after a long chase in the Ravenloft city called Torren's Gate. Zanthors was destroyed by the artifact, having underestimated its powers and sanctity, and Annathea just had the time to take his skull in her bag before she was teleported back by the Dark Powers to Neverwinter when the city was in the end of the plague event. A little shaked by her ordeals, she decided to flee from this cursed city and took the boat she wanted to take in the first place... Annathéa is a good-hearted woman, with a particular will to help those who are born alone in this world and who, like her, don't know their real parents. She is particularly fond of drinking good wines and ales in a warmly atmosphere, but her joyful mood is always darkened by her scars on her arm, which sometimes hurt her like hell.
