Andreas Vanderslyke was the captain of Neptunes Chariot before it was sent to the bottom of the sea by the great Kraken. At the age of 25 Andreas won Neptunes Chariot in a card game. Already a seasoned sailor Andreas finally had a ship to call his own and over the next four years he would sail the seas building his crew and plundering merchant ships along the coast. One evening while on deck Andreas spotted the merchant ship "Faylorn" and stalked it throughout the night into the open sea. Hours passed and Neptunes Chariot waited for the right moment to strike and then suddenly from the depths of the dark waters two huge tentacles exploded from the sea and wrapped up the ship slowly breaking her in two with its mighty squeeze. Andreas and his men fought valiantly but the grip of the beast could not be broken. In a matter of minutes the ship had gone down with it's entire crew still aboard, the only survivor being Andreas. Since that horrible night Vanderslyke has spent his time trying to raise funds for a ship and crew so he can sail out to sea and hunt the beast that took the one thing in life he truly loved, Neptunes Chariot.
