Korsiara is a wild elf, yet her upbringing has made her quite different from others of her race. She had been sold by mercenaries who raided her small village to a travelling circus when she was an infant. In the first twelve years of her life she had been an exotic attraction for which rich and common folk alike would pay to watch perform tricks as if a mere animal.
Only when she became too old to be considered "interesting", did she acquire a new act - animal training, at first cats of different shapes and colors, and eight years later, panthers. At the ripe age of twenty, she became "Korsiara", which in elven language means "black cat woman".
As she became older, she gained freedom, being allowed to take walks, shop and do other things which she pleased, as long as she understood that she could never escape the circus, as Borys, the owner, would tell her menacingly.
But one day, as the circus was about to pack up and leave for yet another town, she saw the Midnight Rose preparing to set sail. She seized the chance, and, with her skill at hiding and walking silently in the shadows, she managed to slip away, taking her trusty friend, Nox, with her.
Once on board the ship, a new chapter of her destiny began...
