Why he does this is anyone's guess. He'll explain it at length to you, but the story will be different each time. the only consistent element is money. He needs it. He wants it. He amasses vast quantities of it, which mysteriously disappear, never to be seen again. He is seldom seen spending any of it, and his gear hints that he spends little on pampering himself. His jovial ruthlessnes in gaining the stuff is only matched by how covertly he gets rid of it. Logic dictates that he has some huge debt to pay off, somewhere... But good luck getting the truth out of him.

For all his faults, Lysander is a pleasant enough person, as long as no actual money is involved. He is strictly moral: He won't steal from those with nothing worth the time it takes to steal it. Well, it passes for morality, as long as you don't look too closely. If you can get a word in edgeways while he is spinning his latest yarn he is qute an attentive listener, always on the lookout for new aspects to add to the latest tale of his legendary exploits.
