Lyle Torrowfire

The Father, the legend, champion of halflings. (Regular character)

Examine: "Lyle is a large, muscled halfling with dark, hard features. While intimidating, by halfling standards at least, he has a soft side that sometimes makes an appearance. While his voice is usually quite rough, it sometimes becomes more polished when he’s distracted. He has short, poorly cut brown hair, and generally soft brown eyes. His beard is quite thin, but even. He wears a half-helmet nearly all the time as opposed to a full helm. He is nearly four foot tall, and weighs at least fifty pounds."

History: Ever the spitfire, Lyle spent much of his youth getting in fights and trouble. Quite used to the city life, he came in contact with many types of races and people. His large size, by halfling standards at least, made him comparable to most of the other human boys around his neighborhood. His childhood friend, a fellow halfling named Miles was nearly his opposite. Small and weak, but wise and smart beyond his years and gentle spirited. This, of course, earned him the rage of many bullies and, although Lyle occasionally teased him, he refused to lay a hand on Miles, unless it was to help him up. While he taught Miles to stand up for himself, Miles taught Lyle math, mapreading, and other scholarly pursuits. Soon after his twentied birthday, Lyle got in one fight too many, landing him a night in jail to cool his heels. The morning, after he was released, left his home, too ashamed to face his family or his friends. Soon, he landed a job with a construction company, and eventually met his soon to be partner - a human, who had briefly served in a militia, Mil Camain. Mil eventually introduced Lyle to the underground fighting circuit, and taught him how to fight. Lyle took naturally to the dual-blade combat style, and soon exceeded Mil. Mil then tried to prove himself smarter than Lyle, teaching him combat and war strategies. Much to his chagrin, Lyle took to these as well. It was about this time a human female, Rosemary, walked into their life. The two fought ceaselessly over the affections of the girl, until Mil drunkened him up and shipped him off.

With no money, and no where else to turn, he has begun to adventure, to try and redeem his stupid youth, and become man enough to face his parents. He fights with two daggers (base daggers at level 1: are carpenter knives if he brought them with him.)
